Reflective Analysis
Introduction
The reflective analysis is based on a critical reflection on module MGT600
Management, people and teams. As self-awareness offers an opportunity for the future
personal and professional success hence this module will help me to be self-aware
personality. Besides, this reflective analysis is going to explore the different subjects’ and
topics’ introductory contents which were covered within modules 1, 2 and 3. Thus, on the
basis of (University of Liverpool, 2018) here I am reflecting on the topics like role of
management in modern firms, workplace communication, and change as well as recruitment,
selection with talent management.
Reflective Analysis
During the module, I have learned a lot of things within the three modules 1, 2 and 3.
In this context, module 1 made me learn about the role of management within modern
organizations. The topics like management in context, motivation, and influence appeared
important because knowing and exploring them will be helpful for future professional
development. When I will work in future workplaces then I will get huge help from the
theoretical as well as practical learning associated with these topics. I also learned about the
nature of the organizations and workplace environment. I accessed and studied the challenges
modern managers face in this era. For example, I learned about leadership challenges,
motivation challenges, conflict challenges and many more. On the other hand, module 1
made me understand organizational behavioral practices which are helpful in both employee
and organizational development process. During modules 1.1 and 1.2, I learned about

naturally originating data and qualitative analysis. In addition to that, topic 2 in module 1 was
about motivation and influence where I grabbed the skills that are highly required
demonstrating in future workplaces. For instance, by learning influencing others I will be
able to use my power and its influence in favour of organizational success and growth
(Carton, et. al., 2015).
Moreover, in the context of workplace communication and change I learned how to
apply advanced communication, manage and cope with change while working as an active
employee. Within this module, learning related to advanced communication made me learn to
deal with conflicts with the help of negotiation skills (Carton, et. al., 2015). I will use my
effective communication skills acquired during module 2 for resolving conflicts while
applying negotiation techniques as well. Apart from this, I realized that managing and coping
with the change within contemporary organizations is necessary as adapting change is
essential for organizational growth. In addition to that, I learned building resilience along
with time management (University of Minnesota, 2015). In this context, learning related to
change steps and models containing 5 major steps include:
Determining the necessity of change
Determining the hindrances to change
Introducing change
Implementing change
Evaluating change (Hitt, et. al, 2012).
On doing a reflective analysis of the learning related to module 3, topics like
recruitment, selection as well as managing talent have been learned by me. While learning
into this module, I also learned employee lifecycle with its seven important stages. While I
was learning, I really found the modules 1.1, 1.2 and 2.1 very useful and significant from the
