INTRODUCTION
Continuous professional development is the process of tracking and documenting the
skills, knowledge and experience that can be learned through formal or informal manner. This is
very important for person in order to gain the confidence and live in corporate culture. This
report shows the Gibbs model, some examples are being mentioned and plan is being included to
improve the skills of communication, research and other skills in the future.
MAIN BODY.
Gibbs Model
It was developed by Graham Gibbs in 1988 to give structure to learn new experience.
They consist of following steps:
Description: In this stage of Gibbs Model, I used to attain the event of my collage that
help me lot to learn new skills. I participate the event program where I sued to perform certain
task that increase my communication skills majorly (Narisetty, Shen and He, 2018). I also learn
some more skills of ICT during presentation, teamwork and networking help to gain some
knowledge about working together. Whereas, problem solving skills are also gained some
knowledge in me during the event of collage. In the event I decide to divide event task in small
parts for effective completion of event in collage. All students and guest are attaining the collage
event that is conducted by our batch. There are 25 students include me who was conducting an
event for raising the funds for charity. Task are being distributed in manner that have relevant
interest part and complete on time.
Feeling: During the event of collage, I fell quite nervous and tensed as it was of my first
event In my collage that me and my collage mate is conducting. During the event, mic and sound
had faced some technical problem which scared me and my colleague to overcome with. But was
timely overcome with team work and proper ICT skills having in some of them. With this
situation, other may feel inappropriate management by students as there are many other guests
are present. They may also feel absurd as there are many important guests that can donate for the
event purpose. But after the overcoming of situation, I feel that teamwork and technical skills are
very important for any student that need learned during their collage life (Adeani, ,and et.al.,
S.,2020).
Evaluation: After all situation that I faced during the event, I learned many thinks which
help to handle and manage in future if occurred. It was good to see that during the situation of

technical cliche, all audience were patient and guest are waited in a good manner. But there
should be more effective working of employees which need to avoid those type of situations. But
our professor was not seeing happy during the event due to technical problem that arises after
many checked and precaution taken. While me and my friend had successfully complete the
event and objective to raise enough fund that is being given to charitable trust.
Analysis: with the regular practise and check up on technical tools help us to get the
event successful in collage and attain the target for the reason event conducted (Oh, and et.al.,
2020). It also goes well due to high participation of professor that guide us a team and to solve
problem effectively. As the mistake is arranging the technical person take some time to solve the
problem but it shows the teamwork that me and my collage mate were made. I found that some
people have their own strength and weakness that shows me grouping people according to their
skills and talent they are having that make the event success. The knowledge of some collage
mate is quite interested to see during the event, as they are working technically good enough
with managing other resources that have made me interest to see in those. It shows that they are
working with more talents around me to deal any situation either technical or managing some
resources.
Conclusion: After many situations that is arises from event in collage, I learned quite lot
skills that I am missing out before the event. I learned about the communication skills during the
event to our guest and audiences, importance of teamwork in event that makes work easy,
Information communication technology skills which help to gained new tools knowledge and
solving problem effective that arises at any time during the event (Middleton, 2017). Moreover,
all my collage mate are highly motivated to do work and attain the objective from the event help
me to known the teamwork. While I need to develop my technical skills and ICT skills to
overcome such situation in the future. Lastly I have learned that some challenges are very big
and can't be handled with own, here teamwork and effective communication s being an important
part to overcome any challenges.
2. Examples
I learned technical skills from the event that is due to technical problem faced during the
event and in practise. It helps me gain these skills that I can use in future any event to save the
time and to make the event successful. The Information communication technology is another
skills I used to connect with walkie-talkie to other colleague during the event and practise

session to avoid the problems during event. Also, some software that is used for event help me
gain skills that further help me increase my knowledge part about such software. Teamwork and
networking is an important skill I learned as we together solve the problems that arises during
practise and in event too. It helps me learned the importance of teamwork to complete task and
building network in also important part that are used in future and shows the relations of
persons.
Moreover, communication skills are also increased my confidence to connect with new
people and communicate with large audience . These skills more impact me verbally through
communication face to face but also increase the written part during the invitation content
writing. I also leaned the time management skills that is very important to complete any tasks
and perform it effective within time limit. It also brings discipline in person to complete work
before time limit.

The above report shows how I learned skills like communication skills, technical skills,
ICT and other skills that I gained through my collage event conducted for raising charity fund.
Gibbs model is being explained with example that I gained with event. Lastly action plan sows
the skills miss out and to overcome within a time limit.
