INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development means finding way by which growth of individual
can be foster. This is very necessary to learn something new which will be helpful for future
purpose. It is one of the way by which person can gain overall development. This report covers
approaches for learning the self-management. Further this consists of benefits of self-managed
learning to individual as well as organisation. Lastly it covers review of own skills and
competencies which are against professional standards and organisational objectives.
TASK 1
Different approaches of self-management learning
There are different approaches for learning which is benefiting to own. Self-learning
enhances knowledge and skill which help in gaining advantage for the future. In organisation
regular learning is very important which is helps an individual in development. It is one way by
which improvement of knowledge and skill help in reaching to new height of success to cited
entity.
Some approaches of self-management are
Attending the seminar and conferences- this can be one way by which an individual can
increase knowledge which will be helpful for development. By attending seminars help in
learning of brand things on new topic. These seminars help in becoming more confident in public
speaking. Seminar are of many kinds like learning of technical skill which include the MS
Office, Power Point, Telly and many more(Robertson, 2016).
Internet - through internet person can learn new things via process. If individual lacks in any of
skill than he can learn from internet. It is one of the biggest source of gaining knowledge
nowadays. We can search anything related to any of topic. Nowadays most people learn things
via internet and its usage also increase.
Social Networks - with the help of social sites we can learn new things from it. there are various
ways by which person learns new things like Facebook, twitter, Instagram and many more.
Talking to persons is also a way through which we can learn skills by taking help from friend
help in gaining of new skills which is already learned by them. Many of useful information is
shared by people which helps an individual in gaining knowledge and experience. There are
several models by which self-leaning is possible some of them are:

Neil fleming Vark model- this model helps in knowing self, which can be helped by colleagues,
friends, parents and many more. There are four steps involve these are
Visual- in this individual use power of visuals according to employees performance marks are
given which helps in identifying real position of person in entity.
Auditory- in this person has to look after listening skills which help in understanding and
convey message to individual which need by entity. (Acharya and et.al., 2017.).
Reading and writing- these skill people had to know about reading and writing ability of
business which needed in job.
Kinesthetic- in this capability of person to solve several issues by applying knowledge.
Benefits of self-learning for an individual and organisation
There are many advantages of self-learning which helps individual in gaining of
knowledge. Learning by own is remember by person for long time. This learning is not time
bound. We can learn by applying own methods. This can be learned in our leisure time which is
very much valuable. Like by attending seminars help in gaining of knowledge which helps
individual in learning of new things. It aids organisation when people who learned new skills
apply their knowledge for supporting firm in fostering growth Self-learning help in
understanding things which are not known earlier. Self-learning makes person to know about
strong and weak points and also help in recovering them. This learning motivates people to study
or learn new skills (Perlmutter, 2017). Like internet helps in understanding and knowing about
any type of topic. With help of images and videos help in learning in faster way. Now all updates
about any topic is available on internet. It is used by students, professionals, kids, youngsters and
many more. This is one of way by which people can learn from home only and no need of going
anywhere. There are many links available here if one is not understood by us than other one can
be used. For organisation employees who learnt by own whether it can be skills, techniques and
anything which is helpful for growth and development of entity. With help of these people has
learnt new things which has benefited to them as well as organisation. If any of employee has
learnt new things which he will be applying in his own working. It will help an organisation in
reaching new heights of success.
