INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development is a term which describes growth of an individual.
This helps to improve knowledge and skills of individual and by this they can perform tasks
given to them in effective manner. This can be done through different kinds of tools and
techniques and there are various methods Which will assist individual in their self-growth and
improve the thinking (Dixon and et. al., 2014). This report has focus on personal and
professional growth. Different Method of learning and benefits of using various learning style
are included in this study. The ways by which one can overcome from the different numbers of
issues is also being explained.
TASK 1
1.1 Different learning styles and approaches of self-managed learning and their benefits
Self-learning is a process by which an individual can be able to increase learning and can
develop various skills. Technique will assist individual in analysing various ways to gain
knowledge. This will also help in fulfilling all the goals and targets at specific time period. The
main thing which will be gained by a person is that they would be able to know about the actual
issues which comes at the time of attaining of goals.
Social networks- This method include self learning process to gain knowledge and
develop skills. (Fishman and et. al., 2013). This connects people of one place to the other
of different places as well. This would help in getting different ideas from various people
so that they can generate knowledge about some things and can develop innovative ideas
which will help in increasing the skills and vocabulary of all individuals.
Seminar and conferences-This is a good approach because this provide a platform to
numerous people so that they can show their knowledge and skills in front of many
people and this method provide opportunity to individual to explore more information
about particular fact. This method also include sharing information in order to gain
knowledge.
This self-management helps in exploring information from different sources and this would
further lead to enhancement of knowledge. This method assist person in achieving personal and
professional development. This will help in developing creative thinking. These techniques allow

person to take correct and make effective decision . There are 7 learning style that can be used by
individual -
Visual- In this form of learning style one can get knowledge from observing things
surrounding him., like by seeing the colours and images, this is an easiest way for provide
and to learn something as this provides information in form of image and other pictures
so people would not get bored and even they will capture it more easily, this will be
beneficial for the person who is conveying the message to make people understand
properly (Dixon and et. al., 2014).
Auditory- This will also help them in understanding the things by listening to the other
person, this would also assist in developing better understanding as compared to visual
form, in this one person can transfer information which is relevant to the other (Forte and
Flores, 2014)
Verbal- This is a mixture of two things which is Visual and the other is auditory, in this
type of learning style one can transfer the data or an information in form of speech or
words, This is beneficial as because they only include the applicable information in this.
Physical- This is a learning style in which outcome are in term of feelings. Mainly this
helps the people who are blind so they can get knowledge by feeling the things which is
written in book.
Solitary-In this form of learning one will mainly focus on the knowledge or form of
information which he/she wants to get or want to learn, its main benefit is that this will
not be forget by them because the things which one want to know is not being forget by
them easily.
Social- In group learning, many people come together at one place it is like a seminar or
a conference in this all will transfer each other’s ideas and knowledge this will help in
getting different types of information or knowledge together (Fishman and et. al., 2013).
Logical- This is little hard form of leaning style because in this one can get information
or knowledge in a difficult point but the main beneficial for the person who really want to
learn.
All the above-mentioned methods are very essential and helpful For developing personal as well
as professional skills.
