INTRODUCTIONIn order to perform any type of task, it requires proper skills and capabilities so that onewill be able to complete the task on time and that also with high quality. It is important for one tounderstand the areas in which they are good at and the skills that they need to improve. Oneshould made improvement in the skills as per the type of work they are given to them within theorganization. SWOT analysis enables to understand the areas that individual can take stepsthrough which desired goals and objectives can be achieved. As per the present case, I amworking as a care worker in a health and social care. It is important for me to take care of serviceuser who has a form of infectious disease. This report covers personal value that an individualshould possess in health and social care. Further, it covers development of personal andprofessional development plan that will help to improve the performance level and enhanceskills. Lastly, it also includes different professional relationship that exist in the context, of thecase scenario given. TASK 11.1 Comparing personal values and principleWithin health and social care, my performance at work has high impact through personalpossession and personal ethics. In this aspect, as per the type of work that is performed, itrequires one to have effective communication so they will be able to develop strong relationshipwith patients. Values are developed as per the type of belief that one has. As per the given, byrole to be care worker, it is important to make sure that I understand the issues that are faced bypatient and deliver adequate services (Vetere, and Stratton, 2016). For this purpose, it requireseffective communication skills so that I am able to develop a strong understand and patient sharethe issues that are faced by them. There are condition in which patient do not follow themeditations that has to be followed. In such condition, it my responsibility to make sure that allthe meditations that are provided are taken by them. Further, patient does not have properinformation regarding the type of issues that are faced by them. In this context, as per thepersonal values that suggest me is to deliver adequate information so that they develop theirunderstanding (Moon, 2013.). It is also essential for me to work with team and to developrelationship with others so that with the combined efforts the issues faced by patient can besolved. All the patient should be treated equally and the patients who need extra care should beprovided. As per my values, it also important I make sure that I spend time with my family and I1

have a son and it is my responsibility to take proper care of him. As per he religious aspect, it ismy prime responsibility to teach and guide my children to be faithful in all the thinks that areprovided. 1.2 Influence of personal culture and experience in health and care sectorIndividual get to develop culture from their family. Further, the type of education that onehas received also contributes to the culture that they have developed. There are certain set ofinformation that one have related with the work their perform and education one the other handcontributes to reduce the confusion over the steps that should be take for providing adequate careto patients (McLeod and Julia, 2014). The type of experience that I possess from different type ofpatients that I have handled has helped me to determined steps that should be take for criticalcondition for take care of patients. Further, interaction has enabled me to know different type ofissues that are faced by patients, this has enabled me to understand and develop my capability asper the type of requirement patients need. For infection disease, there are cases that the patientcan face serious issue if proper care of not given. This is possible with the help of experience thatI have from different type of patients with diverse issues that I have handled. Both culture andexperience contribute effectively towards providing proper care to the patients. Further, with thetime and the type of situation faced helps to develop up culture and values accordingly. 1.3 Current legislations and policies and procedures in the workplaceThere are different type of legislation, policies and procedures that is followed in healthand social care. All these made in order to protect the interest of patients and workers. All thesepolicies are affect the service users in an effective manner. In this context, below given are thelegislation followed in health and social care:Data protection act 1998: As per this act all the information that are provided by thepatient related with the issue should not be shared with anyone (Williams, Carpenter and Timms,2015). Only the authorised person has the right and until the patients allow to share theinformation with other it should not be done. Further, all the information should be destroyedafter a certain period of time. Patient right act 2011: All the informations to patient should be provided by theprofessional. This way they will get to know the steps that they should take up in order to overcome the problems (Chretien, and et. al., 2015). Professional can suggest different way to solvethe issue but the ultimate aim should be taken up by patients preferences. 2
