Personal and professional development plan is a method which aids a supervisor to set out
the various goals, strategies and learning and training outcomes. The following plan should
clearly determine the time frame, activities in order to defined aim and dates of conducting the
specific meeting with the supervisor. Union Chimique Belge (USB) is a multinational
pharmaceutical company headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. It is a company with the revenue
generation of about ÂŁ3.3 billion by the end of the year 2014. The following report is going to
depict about the different methods of the learning which in turn will aid to identify the types of
learning style which helps to achieve the organization objective. In this report approaches and
benefits of self managed learning are discussed. At last different type of work based problem and
its relative solution are identified.
TASK 1
Self managed learning is the one of the best way to make the individual present in the
organization in order to make them learn everything. Learning will be effective only when an
individual knows the objective of learning (Ali and Panther, 2008). Self managed teach also aid
the individuals to come up with the new ideas, thoughts and strategy in order to overcome
various problems and achieve the desired goals. Self managed learning also assist the individual
to improve their knowledge and skills and learn various techniques which will help an individual
to enhance its personal and professional life. Thus, some of the approaches which company can
consider in order enhancing its employee’s knowledge are as follow:-
Seminars and Conferences: - It is one of the best ways of self managed learning. This
approached aid the individual to enhance its personal and professional skills by shares their
ideas, thoughts and experiences.
Internet: - By conducting an internet surfing an individual can get knowledge from
different website. This in turn will aid the individual to deepen his and other co-workers
knowledge by share the thoughts learned by him (Alsup, 2006).
Different type of learning style helps the individual to learn deeply about the various topics.
Some use auditory style for learning, in which an individual learn more properly by listening to
the things than that of reading it. Similarly, some use Visual style of learning, in which an
individual learn more properly by watching the things like charts, graphs, diagrams and so on.

been made in order to find out the strength, weakness, opportunities and threats available to the
individual in order to enhance the skills and knowledge.
Therefore, in order to develop the individual and encourage lifelong learning in personal
and professional manner I will recommend the performance evaluation and self managed
learning method. Because performance evaluation will aid the company and individual to know
about the work performed by him and where he is lacking behind from others. This in turn will
create the competition among the individual .increased competition will increase the level of
productivity of the individual (Gray, 2005). Similarly, another method which an organization can
use is self learning. Self learning will aid the individual to share their ideas, thoughts with the
other people. This in turn will build up the confidence among the individual to speak in a public
and enhance its lifelong personal and professional skills.
Therefore, these are some of the methods which a human resource manager can use in
order to enhance the personal and professional skills and knowledge of the every individual
person present in the organization.

undertaken the various activities. Henceforth, in order to improve the communication skills of
the individual I will make efforts to conduct seminars and conference through which they are
able to make face to face communication with all the members (Malm, 2009). Similarly, in order
to improve the interpersonal skills I will try to conduct various lectures and management games
which in turn will aid the individual to build up their leadership quality. Likewise, in order to
improve the technical skills of the individual I will conduct the various class and workshop
section in order to make them know how this technology can be used and how it will create
benefit for them.
3.3 Learning against the aims and objectives
It is very important for an individual to evaluate and analyze the things learned by him in
order to achieve the organization set goals and objective. By improving my communication skills
I will be able to easily solve out the various problem of the employee arises in the organization.
Improved communication skills will also aid be to easily communicate and listen to the things
employees want to say (Munro, 2008). By enhancing my interpersonal and conceptual skills I
will be able to teach the entire employee about the needs and wants of the organization and how
they will be able to achieve it by fulfilling their own needs. Improvement of these skills will also
assist me to motive the employee which in turn will help the company to achieve its aims and
objectives.

After analyzing and taking feedback from the employees it is found that about 90% of the
employee is able to overcome its weakness. It is also found out those there capabilities of doing
the work has also increased. They do not require being teacher again and again about the task
