INTRODUCTIONPersonal and professional development enables an individual to show his or hercapabilities in accomplishment of specific goals and objectives. A personally developed personis able to perform all tasks and abilities within organization. Every functional area requiresspecial set of skills and knowledge, therefore managers have to provide training anddevelopment assistance to improve core competencies of employees (Moon, 2013). Personal andprofessional development plan help to recognise own strength and weaknesses and them makeeffective use of them. It record own progress and achievements for specific purpose so thatindividuals can achieve their goals and objectives in an effective manner. Apart from this, thereport will be described, own aims and targets of individuals and a PDP will be formulated. Ifpeople have effective management and leadership skills then they can easily attain future careergoals and objectives in a minimum time period. Furthermore, readers will also come to knowfuture plans of individuals. StrengthMy major strength is having good team building skills, it would helpful for me to managethe overall team performance in the best possible manner My another capability is havingeffective communication skills; it helps me to interact with people through which I caneasily influence them to do working activities. Due to my positive attitude and clambehaviour I am capable to listen others. This strengthen aids me to determine employees'queries and issues (Avalos, 2011). My friendly behaviour is accessible for me to makehealthy and strong relationship with employees so as they can collaborate me all workingactivities. WeaknessDue to lack of working experience, I do not have effective problem solving skills. Thiswould also affect decision making process of the company. My another weakness is lackof leadership and management skills; as I am not capable to manage people effectively.Sometimes, I cannot work in high pressure and get angry in small things because of myshort tempered nature. My cognitive skills are also not much effective, it involves theability to examine as well as synthesise information.Opportunities1

I have good educational qualifications, it helps me to get great opportunities in future. Inthis modern era, there are several multinational companies are established, so that there isincreased the demand of HR professionals. Business organisations are ready to payhigher amount to these HR managers. Therefore, it would be great opportunity for me.With the assistance of senior managers, I am learning several skills, communication,presentation, training and team management etc. As I have good team building skills, thishelpsThreats Raising competition level in society. Lack of money and time. Family restrictionsChanging demands in HR patterns. Personal goals and objectivesMy prime goal is to improve my decision making capabilities in maximum 3 to 4 months.I also have to do a professional training which is related with HR field, it helps me toimprove my apprenticeship and competencies. I want to become senior human resource manager in upcoming 5 years. I also have to improve my technical skills and learn one or two languages; it wouldprovide me great opportunities in foreign companies. In order to achieve all these goals and objectives I have to learn more and more skills andgain knowledge in specific field. For this purpose, people have to prepare a personal andprofessional development for all activities and practices so as to become successful person in life(Mwalongo, 2011). PDP as a tool for self review It is essential for individuals to prepare a self review so as to analyse which skills wouldbe improved. For this purpose, I need to focus on several major areas which are assistive for meto accomplish goals and targets. Personal skills – In the session of self review, it is foremost for individuals to determinetheir personal skills and how to improve them in the best possible manner. As per my strengths, Ihave good interpersonal skills, it helps me to make healthy and positive working environment atworkplace. In addition, I have enough knowledge of different languages, through which I caneasily communicate with different cultural people and listen their needs and wants in the bestpossible manner.
