Personal and professional development is a continuous process of learning that not only
assists individuals in their development but also, help in bringing efficiency in the firm (Ahmed
and Ward, 2016). PPD involves the process of self-assessment and discovery where individuals
evaluate their own potential and skills with developing a plan so that improvement and his
desired goals along with carrier achievements can be attained. In the current report, Tesco has
been taken into consideration which is a British multinational grocery and general merchandise
retailer operating in more than 13 countries with more than 470,000 employees. The report will
discuss different ways through which one can evaluate own skills and will come up with
personal and professional development plan that will aid in the development of an individual.
Along with this, various approaches to self-managed learning and lifelong learning will also be

The documentation of activity include whole process the first step of the documentation
is resources. The necessary resource needed for the implementation of activity are mentioned

To enhance my presentation skill I require resources like seminar hall, Facilitators, internet etc.
so that presentation can be present in effective manner.
For the improvement in decision making skill I need help from professional who can guide me
For the enhancement of my time management skill I require attending workshop for this
resource like trainer, hall, computer etc. are essential (Woodrow and Guest, 2014).
Through proper analysis it has come forward that these resources help me in many of my
activities and I was able enhance my skill properly. This resource also help me achieve my goal
and proper training in defined time.
3.3 Critical analyse of one's own learning against the aim mention in the development plan.
Personal development has helped me in my development and has also helped me in
enhancing my skill that help me in my professional development. It helps in building my
confidence and personality that help me in enhancing my presentation skill. It also provides me
with guidance which help me in enhancing my time management skill. It assists me in managing
various task at single time along with this it also helps me in the development of my time
management skill. With proper training I was able to complete my work within time and was
also able to maintain quality of it.
The plan was quite effective in enhancing my competency but it fails in developing my
decision making skill, I still get too much confused before coming to a single decision.
Furthermore, I still not able to make fast decision it affects my performance. My leadership skill
did get improve but still there is more chance of improvement I still can't lead more than 10
people even after following the guideline provided by my seniors and lectures.
