Task 1 Definition of the concept of personal and professional development It is the aspects which is undertaken by the person so that they effectively meet their goals by learning new set of skills. It is considered as the life time learning for the individual where individual can assess their qualities and skills so that they can analyses the potential for attaining the st goal of them(Artyukhina and et.al 2018). On other hand, professional development is the aspects ofattaining conferences, academic degree of the individual etc. Personal and professional development helps the individual to get boost their current strength in order to develop overall efficiency. Description and discussion of the value of short term goals identifying at least 3 personal examples. The short term goals is defined as targets which is meant for the short period of time so that the individual can achieve them in an prefix time to retain their effectiveness. They generally work for the period of less than 1 year and helps in getting quick feedback so tat they can improve their performance. Some example of short term goal in order to acquire skills and abilities are: Active listening skills Interpersonal skills Communications skills Description and discussion of the value of medium term goals identifying at least 3 personal examples These are the goals which take a bit time more than short-term goals. It is majorly set the bridge between the short-term & long term goals. It generally takes 1 year to 3 year to achieve medium term goals. This also helps the individual to plan their future that what they want to do in their near future. Examples of medium term goals which can enhance the personal and professional development are: Problem Solving Skills. Information And Technology Skills. Decision Making Skills. 3
Description and discussion of the value of long term goals identifying at least 3 personal examples. These are the goals which take time duration in order to complete them as they are planned to achieve the future goal of the individual. They usually take up to 5 years to reach to the long term goals. In order to have direct emphasis in these goals, the goal must be divided in to sort-term and medium term goals so that individual can effectively achieve their long term goal(.Tasker,2019). Examples of skills that can boast the personal & professional development are given: Management Skills. Conflict Management Skills. Leadership Skills. Description and discussion of the value of a Personal Development Plan and construction of an example using my goals. Personal development plan required the integrated set of skills, set objectives and targets so that they can effectively make the best use of their qualification in order to get advancement in their personal and professional life. It is created by the manager who closely overseeing all the aspect of the business so that they can get career goals and having certain business needs(Ahmed, 2018). It important to analyses the strength and weakness of the individual so that they can work upon them in order to get overall development. Task 2 Description and discussion of how ‘Author, Purpose, Reliability and Relevance’ affect the use of a source. In order to take reference form the different sources, It is necessary to measure the relevancy and reliability so the they can make authentic work. When an individual is doing some assessment, they take those sources which are worth for them. A relevant and reliable helps the individual in making more trustworthy and questionable.
