INTRODUCTION
Professional development refers to the development of new skills after entering in the
workforce with simultaneously continuing the education and career. The purpose of this
development is to give an individual a opportunity to learn new skills and knowledge, and apply
the same knowledge and skill in their job and further in their career. Personal development refers
to the activities that is designed to improve the talents, potential, etc. by learning new courses. It
helps to embraces a person potential and enhances his or her quality of life by improvising
himself in terms of skills and knowledge. The skills and knowledge used by the people in the
past in their school time and the same skills and knowledge is now used to perform some
professional activities in the workplace. This development is known as Academic development.
MAIN BODY
Professional development
From week 1 I got to understand that by identifying the values and taking appropriate action
towards the same values shows that how I live a life of dynamic, meaningful and fulfillment.
Knowing my values helps me to make suitable decisions, take appropriate actions and focus on
moving towards the life a person desires. Values helps me to be always in discipline towards the
work and sincere about the life and profession. It keeps me stable and helps to develop new skills
with the continuation of education.
From week 2 I analyzes that the procedure of career planning helps me to determine which
professional path is most suitable to my interests, goals and personality. Once you have started
working certain goals, it helps you to track your growth, and the new skills in your career and
professional development. Few steps that helps me in career development and that will help you
to grow according to your interests are: -
First thing is to examine about yourself that is consisting of analyzing about your goals,
personality, values, strengths, aptitude, weakness and objectives.
The next step is to learn about you career planning and conduct research in your career or
professional planning and development.
Now, you have to rank your skills, goals, interests, challenges and expectation according
to your preference.
Deeply analyses the interests, abilities and opportunities that helps me to grow.

From week 5 I got to understand about the significance of cv in professional development, a cv
shows what you are, it is basically a short brief about your all the details like your skills,
experience and qualification. It is very important to have a good cv because whenever you apply
for the job, first the HR manager of xyz will want is your cv. It depicts what you are and what
you have done in the past like education, work experience, area of interests and the projects that
you have done. From week 6 it can be analyzed that interview skills are very important to crack
any job because now a days every organization conducts a personal interview before giving the
job to the employees. So while improving your interview skills it simultaneously enhances your
professional development.
Now from week 8, I got to analyze about assessing myself and it can be done by identifying the
benefits of performance appraisal that is discussed below:-
It helps me to find out about the areas in which I am capable to do it.
This helps in personal as well as professional development by overcoming the weakness.
It acts a motivator that boost me to do my work effectively and efficiently.
It is also beneficial to identify the best talent in the areas of your interest.
In week 9 I got a wisdom to do an analysis of work context that mainly includes coaching and its
benefits and styles. A professional coaching is a type of development in which a learner tries to
achieve their goals and objectives by getting proper guidance and training. It provides the
opportunities for me to improve the skills and capabilities and the main goal by doing this is to
develop the skills as well as getting the education. There are various styles of coaching that helps
me to enhance my professional development that are discussed below: -

accountability, in this method a person will be always boost and in control towards the

because emotionally intelligent leaders are capable of developing new skills and maintaining
an efficient, positive and creative workplace. The theories of emotional intelligence is
discussed below: -

acknowledge how an individual actions and emotions can affect me and my behavior.
