Introduction In the current competitive world, self-development is that one key area that a person needs to emphasize the most to be able to cope up with the mounting pressure. For that, having a personal development plan or PPD can be aiding, to say the least. By creating a PPD, one can effectively evaluate oneself for the skills, experiences and aims that one has and modify them in alignment to the required changes. This report will be made on the PPD that I have created for myself that includes my personal SWOT analysis, SMART goals and a CPPD plan which involves the activities that I intend on carrying out. Moreover, this report will reflect on the recognized issues that I currently have that might impact the CPPD activities and how I intend on overcoming them. At the end, the transferable/ employability skills that I have developed over the duration of this course will be identified and how they will enable me to achieve the success that I am eager to attain will be elaborated. Task 1: Personal SWOT Analysis, SMART Goals & CPPD Development doesn’t come just from anywhere, rather it’s a continuous process where dedication and concentration are required to be put at full potential. For that reason, a comprehensive CPPD can help a lot in ensuring a continuous process where the activities towards self-improvement will be continued and maintained with a view to developing oneself. (Herman, M., 2017)In begetting a CPPD, outlining one’s SWOT analysis can be beneficial, as well. Below is my personal SWOT analysis and the SMART goals I will have set in alignment to the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities & threats to ensure that the CPPD plan is well-constructed and executable. Personal SWOT Analysis SWOT analysis refers to detailing out one’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities & threats in order to be acknowledgeable about oneself. (Rangkuti, F., 2015)Within me, I bear quite a handful of strengths alongside weaknesses which are facilitated by the opportunities and threats I am presented with. Strengths My greatest stronghold is that I can adapt to various situations while not getting pinned down due to extreme pressure or difficulty for which I can work on any given project with people that might be hard to work with. Moreover, I have leading capabilities that facilitate my decisions in directing a group of members on different projects. I also am an active listener due to which I can be a great mental note taker and for this capability, I often find myself at advantage as I can formulate quick decisions based on just the conversations carried out between persons. (Jackson, T., et, ek. 2022) Weaknesses One of the greatest weaknesses I have is my communicating ability which thwarts me from becoming an extraordinary leader and I cannot convey the ideas effectively to my
team members. (Corporate Finance Institute. 2022)Although I can take great decisions, thanks to my active listening and judgement skills, when it comes to formulate new ideas for certain issues, I can find myself at great disadvantage for not being able to stretch my imagination which is quite important in envisaging different scenario to come up with fruitful ideas. Opportunities As I am quite adept in taking decisions that can alter many aspects on a positive note, if I am able to muster the skill of communicating effectively, I can, hopefully, unleash my leadership skills on a greater scale. Moreover, there are many courses available online, both free and paid, which I can take to enhance the skills I already possess or acquire newer ones effectively. Many new skills are now being asked by employers such as critical thinking, high EQ, SQ & AQ. I can also work on them to bring betterments in different aspects. Threats As I am currently student, I can only give so much time to the development process all the while maintaining my academic requirements. However, my inability to make enough time for development can lead to serious issues in the long run if I am not equipped properly with all the related and required skills and expertise. Moreover, the courses available online which bear great quality can cost a fortune to avail, and considering my financial position, it can get difficult to avail quality lessons. SMART Goals SMART goals stand for specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound. When a person is willing to achieve proper aims and objectives, SMART goals can facilitate that process quite extensively because making goals SMART can significantly ease up the process to achieve just that because of the traits it possesses. (Conzemius, A.E., et, el. 2011)As I am eyeing for both personal and professional development, the goals I have set need to aligned with that in mind. Below are the goals to bolster my CPPD plan. SpecificMeasurableAchievableRealisticTime-Bound I will take a course on communication skills on Udemy I can examine my understanding of others and convey my ideas to my close friends more effectively. As I am ardent enough, I will need consistency in order to complete the course. I will need extremely efficient communicatio n skills to be able to work in groups as well as lead teams. (Northeastern University Graduate I intend on completing this course by the end of September, 2022.

Programs. 2022) I will acquaint myself with technical skills by learning them on Coursera such as AI, Data Analysis. I will complete the courses consequently and in relation to one another. I have to be greatly prudent at managing my daily schedule in order to complete the courses in due time. These courses will be helping me in my professional career setting by having more portfolios in my skills’ arsenal. I will have the courses finished before February, 2023. I will attain an apprenticeship under a well- established businessperso n to enhance my leadership skills I will take notes and understand how that businessperso n deals with different stakeholders of his company and then apply those notes in my cases. I can effectively follow the businessperso n and then try to understand why he is doing what he is doing. Leadership skills can enable me to achieve greater things and help me reach greater places. I will take an apprenticeship of 4 months under that businessperson . I will take break and focus on rejuvenating my energy and concentration I will take breaks in between the completion of goals which will let me be focused and energetic. I can pursue my hobbies or go to a remote place on vacation. It is important to take breaks to keep myself working harder. I will take 3 breaks on September, November and January, respectively. Relation between SWOT Analysis & CPPD Plan There lies a coherent relation between the SWOT analysis I have conducted on myself and the CPPD plan I have created in alignment to the SMART goals set during a definite time period. (Clockify Blog. 2022) As I currently have certain weaknesses but again, greater opportunities presented with, I am hopeful to bring great changes to myself and develop myself thoroughly by overcoming the weaknesses and eliminating the threats that I currently have by adopting required measures. Moreover, the SWOT analysis shows every strength and weakness that I currently have and the opportunities and the threats I will face in the coming days. With the information derived from my SWOT analysis, I have created the SMART goals accordingly so that I can capitalize on every single chance I may get presented with. (Les MacLeod EdD, M.P.H., 2012)In conclusion, I am confident to be successful at what I have started now and acquire
newer skills such as communication, leadership, technical ones etc. and ultimately enhance myself for the long run. Task 2: Issues & Problems Recognized and their Impact on Planned CPPD Activities The PPD plan that I have created is expected to fulfill my requirements by helping me to achieve the goals and objectives I currently boast. However, just having a PPD plan doesn’t necessarily mean that I can execute every activity properly, rather the CPPD shows quite a lot of issues due to the nature of schedule that I have alongside the other problems that I might face in the process. Despite me creating an executable plan incorporation with the SMART goals, it can be quite hectic and problematic for me to necessarily complete the whole plan. The issues that I will be facing and the way I am confident of overcoming them are elucidated below. As per my SMART goals of the PPD plan, I already have enrolled in some courses in order bring progress in my plan. These courses are named as followed: “Improve Communication: Speak Smoothly, Clearly & Confidently”, “Data Analysis and Visualization Foundations Specialization”, and “AI For Everyone”. As these courses intend on teaching people who already have foundational knowledge on the topic, it is going to be quite difficult on my part to understand and keep learning on a regular basis. Moreover, I will have to bring out a lot of time in order to successfully learn every topic and lessons accordingly. Again, the difficulty set by the instructors of these courses is high, as well, for which I have to make sure that I remain penchant about learning the courses at any cost. In addition to that, the time period, even if it seems quite a lot, it still seems pale considering the other developments that I have to attain. (Rodts, M.F., et, el. 2008)Overall, these difficulties are quite on the harder side to overcome. In addition to all these, I need to contact with a reliable connection in order to find someone suitable for my apprenticeship who will be willing to take me for a 4 months period. Again, I have to reschedule my routine for the days I will be working under him. Furthermore, the note taking and implementation may also seem to be tasking. I have started the courses one by one, and the current one, the communication skills based course is underway and I am facing complications while completing the course. Firstly, I can hardly make time for the development phase due to the academic pressure and the other responsibilities. Moreover, I am having trouble in actually implementing the lessons in real life which is a great issue. I am going through the course for around 15 days and I am already facing certain mental issues including fatigues. As I have already included in my PPD plan that I will be taking three breaks till the end of the plan, I will be taking the first one this month to rejuvenate my enervated self and keep my fixation on the issue. By undertaking the break, I am quite confident that I will be able to finish the course with greater quality. I will be taking the rest of the two breaks on provide time phases. Although I have managed a successful businessperson to provide me an apprenticeship and I already have started working under him, it still seems quite difficult to manage the long period hours to work continuously under him and then focus on the other development areas as well as my academics. As I am boasting all the development processes alongside apprenticeship, I have halted the continuation of my communication course in order to provide more focus on my academics and my apprenticeship. As I have halted the courses, I have also shortened my apprenticeship period by consulting with the businessperson and have brought it down to 2.5 months to facilitate the other developments properly. Regardless of the issues that I currently face, I am still continuing my PPD plan all the while keeping the CPPD in check. I am determined to complete the SMART goals I have set and I am also adamant on finishing the plan within the due date. Through the recognition of the issues I am faced with currently, I have adopted better measures and adapted to the circumstances and brought necessary changes in the PPD plan to make the whole journey effective. (Evans, A., et, el. 2002) Task 3: Identification of Transferable/ Employability Skills Before identifying the transferable/ employability skills, it is important to discuss what transferable/ employability skills mean, in the first place. Firstly, transferable skills refer to skill sets that can be transferred to other people by providing them guidelines and in- hand expertise that the one already has. On the other hand, employability skills are those ones that enhance the probability of one getting given more priority than the competition. Both kinds of skills can overlap each other all the while retaining their own traits and unique characteristics. In this competitive world, employers seek after not only skilled people but also ones who can teach others or at least, guide others to the success that one assumedly holds. Moreover, in the top positions of organizations, it is preferred to garner people who can actually do the work on field rather than just having it all to themselves because being able to transfer the essential skills can significantly improve organization’s performance by making the existing employees better at their jobs.

During this course’s completion, I have attained quite a few skills that are transferable and at the same time, can be considered to be employability ones, as well. I am confident enough that the employers will find me suitable enough for those skills than the rest of the competition as the skills are transferable and can drastically bring improvements to my fellow work colleagues. Below is the detailed description of the skills that I currently have. The most important skill that I have picked up from this course is an absolute time management one which has done wonders to my overall productivity as well as to the CPPD plan as I am now able to do more in less time and contribute greatly to my enhancement of personal self. Anyone will always appreciate a punctual guy who is eager to work hard and still be on time. I am also confident of making this skill transferable to other fellow team members or professional acquaints which can play a big role in increasing my employability in the current competitive world. Another major skill I have acquired during this course is the ability to work with others coherently. In a competitive setting, it is always going to be the group with the most team work to excel and outperform others in every single way. But to create a harmonious environment firstly, individuals of the particular group have to be pertinent to the idea. I already have the ability to work with others and this course has only enhanced that skill for which I can easily transfer that into others and make the organization perform better than the rest in the market. As a direct result of this transferable skill, my employability is expected to boost up greatly. As this course required me to do a lot of work and inherently be busy in work to properly accommodate myself with the requirements, I needed to build up great resistance to the overall daily routine of mine. This particular skill has aided me greatly from time to time. Moreover, having proper understanding of how to create a balance in between work and life development, I have made this skill transferable, as well. Just like any other transferable skills, such rigid skill can also come into play in organizations where there is a lot of pressure and the employees need to have rigidity in mentality. As I already have this skill, my employability already has gotten enhanced and the transferability is like a cherry on top. Apart from the already acquired skills, I have already started garnering few other skills, as well, which I expect to attain by due date for which I am undertaking courses from different websites and instructors to keep myself acknowledged and enlightened of the required aspects. Those skills include understanding of AI, data analysis, communication skills etc. which will not only significantly boost up my employability but also play a key role in making me stand apart from the rest of the crowd. The skills that I have already acquired or in the process of acquiring have greatly enhanced my overall productivity and the ability to enhance my personal and professional development plans. The CPPD that I currently have is acquainted with
proper SMART goals and are already in motion as I have stated before. (Snhu.edu. 2022)In that regard, the skills that I have enhanced during this course or in development they are, now make me more confident than ever to go in the competitive world. Moreover, the importance of learning continuously is another aspect that I have learnt from this course which might not be a skill, but is quite important in the context of CPPD. Conclusion To be competent enough, there are certain things that one might consider accomplishing to be successful in the both personal & professional life. For that, a detailed SWOT analysis can be of much importance which this report has already outlined of mine. (Blog.rapportleadership.com. 2022)Then the SMART goals in alignment to my PPD have also been described in detail with a view to making a CPPD or continuous personal & professional development plan. The SMART goals included are expected to make me skilled enough for the aims and objectives that I am currently bearing. Furthermore, I am hopeful of being successful in the career settings with the accomplishment of these goals. However, there are also issues entailing with the PPD plan and for that, I have also provided possible solutions that I am willing to undertake. Finally, the transferable/ employability skills that I have acquired from this course have also been elongated.
