INTRODUCTION
Portfolio is termed as a formative combination of experience and learning that an individual
determine towards in particular period of tenure or while in completion of an activity. This
effectively benefit person in recalling their experience through which they can maximize
efficiency of their professional development (Jones, Fleischer, McNair and Masika, 2020).
Present report includes skill reflections on different type of skills for portfolio. In addition to
report involve contribution of mini project works from to employability development.
SKILL REFLECTION
During the tenure of studies in university there is different type of skills that has been
leveraged by me. Some of the skills were duly developed in the tenure of course work while
others or already possessed by me. Mentioned below reflective account of the skills are defined:
Employability Skills
Employability skills are basically transferable skills that are essential to be possessed by an
individual, as it allows them to make them self employable in a certain field of interest. In the
college tenure it has been identified that there are different type of activities through which I can
gain opportunity to develop my employability skills like technical skills, leadership skills,
problem solving skills, marketing, creative, collaborator working skills and more. All these skills
has been developed by me at college tenure that enhance by ability to get employment in
multinational entity
Reflection
It is termed as a practice of thinking in analytical way that allow individuals to reflect
certain situation by undertaking proper judgement of what they have learnt and experienced. At
the time of college lectures different type of model and framework that my tutor taught like
Kolb’s learning cycle, reflection on action, Driscoll model, Gibbs’ reflective model, Schon
reflection in action, John’s model for structured reflection through which one can reflect their
experience. It has been identified that in my college assignments I undertake use of Gibbs’
reflective model to undertake the practice of reflective cycle with the help of the scale I can
effectively able to reflect upon a certain activity or instances in an effective manner.

Academic Reading
This skills facilitate individuals to read written matter and comprehend the same in same
time as to demonstrate what writer is trying of convey. This skill plays key essential roles in a
student university time period (Silliman, Edwards and Johnson, 2020). This skill is being
developed by be during lectures by reading journals, books, articles and scholarly papers. This
skill benefits me to enhance by future efficiency to get high grades in assignments.
Communication
It is one of the most important skills that allow individuals to deliver their views and
opinions among other individual in an effective manner. It includes skills like observing non-
verbal cues, speaking, listening etc. With the help of this skill individual can gain opportunities
in professional and academic context as it allow them to communicate their perception to others.
At my college tenure there are different type of communication aspects like oral, visual and
written thought by my tutor through which I can effectively able to maximize their
communication skill efficiency.
Presentation Skills
Presentation skill allow individual to attract attention of large base of audience towards
their opinion and views in an effective manner (Mirizon, Abdelgani and Elsyed, 2020). It is one
of the most important skills for an individual in their academic and professional tenure. This skill
has been developed by me during my college tenure as it allows me to present my assignments
among groups in effective manner. Along with this aspect like body movement, eye contact and
hand movements are some of the essential factors that has been developed by me to maximize
my presentation skill efficiency.
Time and Task Management
Time and task management is an individual ability through which they ensure
accomplishment of their task in time effective manner. With the help of this skill individual can
effectively able to accomplish their academic and professional activities in due course of time in
the university tenure. There were number of assignments as well as project that are required to be
submit in time effective frame. Thus, this skill allows me to make me to increase my efficiency
to accomplish my task in proper time manner.

Negotiation Skills
This can be defined as the quality with the help of which 2 or more than two parties tend
to reach at a compromising situation. This encompasses sub skills like persuading power,
communication skills, planning, strategising and cooperation (Pereira, Patnaik and Mellahi,
2020). During the tenure at university, this skill was developed by me while working in a group
of 5 persons to prepare a project on a topic. Each and every individual had contrasting views and
opinions for doing this project. I leveraged my negotiation skills to convince the team members
about my way of carrying out the project.
Interpersonal Skills
With the help of this skill I can effectively formulate communication with other individual
and groups in effective manner. Interpersonal skill maximizes efficiency of a person to express
their opinion and view among others and facilitate their interest towards subject matter. This skill
has been developed by me during my college tenure as to effectively make interaction with my
peers. It aid me to develop healthy connections enlarge my professional and academic
efficiency.
Self Efficacy
It is determined as an ability that has been duly held by a person in their ability to
accomplish structures within certain task. It has been identified that it is important for a person to
make sure that they have ability to fulfil activities and task in time effective manner. With the
help of self efficiency skill I accomplish my assignments as a project that has been allotted by
tutors in time effective frame. It maximizes my professional and personal opportunities to deal
with complexity in an effective manner.
Academic Integrity
The skill identified as individual ability to accomplish their project with ethical and moral
behaviour in the confine of academic integrity. In context with this skill it has been identified
that during my college tenure I effectively understand importance of academic integrity and
negligence of plagiarism in university assignments in order to enhance my efficiency to
accomplish project with proper academic integrity. Understanding of this skill also allows me to
use proper in-text citations as to give original writer credits for their work that has been used in
my projects.

Numeracy
This skill is mainly concerned with individual ability to deal with ratios, numbers,
percentage and other numerical. With the assistance of numeracy skills student can effectively
conducted activities and functions in university in different types of research projects. This skill
effectively allows me to conduct data interpretation in a comprehensive manner and assist me to
deal with finance related project and numeracy concepts in a well defined manner.
Team Working Skills
This skill is define as an ability that has been possessed by an individual to perform their
work in a team or group in which more than two or two individuals are combined for a common
objective. Team working skill is an essential aspect for an individual professional and academic
growth in university (Silliman, Edwards and Johnson, 2020.). With the assistance of this skill I
effectively accomplish my project in a cooperative and coordinating manner. With the proper
understanding of belbin team role theory and tuckman team development theory enhance
efficiency of my team working skills and also maximize my professional ability for future
prospective.
SUMMARY
This has been evaluated that, in the time period of my University learning there were
different type of experiences that I undergone and they further provide me assistance to become
professional and academic individual in better way. Learning and course work effectively aid me
developed different type of skills of mine in the tenure. It has been evaluated that task as well as
time management acted as most essential skill that allow me to accomplish university
assignments and other project during college time in time effective manner. Time and task
management skill prove significant advantages to individual to gain success in professional and
academic content (Davis and Paro, 2020). In this it allow me to fulfil requirement of task in
particular framework of time and achieve desirable result. In addition to this another efficient
skill that has been developed by me was communication skill. It is an important as well as crucial
skill that aids an individual to enhance their professional and academic efficiency. This skill
allows a person to effectively express their thought as well as views upon subject of matter
among others. With the help of communication skill I assure formative form of communication
with my seniors, tutor and peers. Further it has been evaluated that another skill that I

incorporated in my personality was team working. There are different types of essential team
development theories learnt by me during my college tenure through which I understand
effectiveness of team. It aids me in my group assignments through which with the help of this
skill I perform my objectives and goals according to team role expectation. In addition to this
other crucial skill, academic integrity was also developed by me in which I understand that
plagiarism is an academic crime and are required to be avoided by a student in order to
effectively maintain their stature at University. Development of this skill helps me to accomplish
my project requirement with proper academic integrity. In addition to this, I also undertake use
of proper in- text- citation as to give credit to original writers if I use their works.
How and why has the mini project workshops contributed towards the
development of your employability?
Mini project workshops are defined as an essential element of learning through which an
individual can effectively able to develop their own knowledge as well as skills through which
they can further gain support in acquiring their desirable job in a successful manner. With the
help of these mini project workshops individual can gain significant opportunity to learn things
in a detailed manner (Laird, 2020). It has been identified that I am a curious person and
undertake different type of attempts in order to learn skills as well as knowledge through which I
can acquire best job according to my proficiency and capabilities. For this different type of mini
project workshop has been attended by me through which I enhanced by employability skills. It
has been evaluated that during the time period of this workshop different type of experience have
been encountered by me that are in both positive and negative aspects. These experiences help
me to evaluate my weaker areas that further allow me to effectively develop my weakest skills in
effective manner.
In terms with positive experience in context with mini workshops of it has been evaluated
that I have gain proper understanding related to certain form of professional skills that allow me
to effectively ensure maximum success in the professional life. With the help of the positive
experiences individual like me who is looking forward to start their career in organisation can
gain significant advantages, as through this I undertake many opportunities to make interaction
with different people that maximize my communication skills. In addition to this these mini
project workshops aid me in understanding strategies and tactics and developed me as an
individual who can perform their work in team in an effective manner. It has been identified that

that strategies and tactics guide me towards executing my work in organisation with maximum
efficiency that enhance my sustainability in corporate culture for long period of time.
Why if it is talked about negative experience from this mini project workshops it has been
identified that there are lot of task based activities that has been performed by me in which I got
to know that there are some areas of mine in which I am not good. It lead towards de-motivating
my motivation as I thought that these deficiency can create hurdles for me to get my desirable
job. This has been identified that skills like coordination, time management, conflict
management are not being possessed by me in efficient way. While workshop leaders and my
other professional seniors provide adequate support me through which I improvise my weaker
areas with the help of additional sessions.
According to the evaluation it has been evaluated by me that mini project workshops
provide significant support to me through which I effectively develop my weaker skills like
conflict management, time management and coordination in effective manner (Grishby, 2020).
It enhances my opportunity through which I maximize efficiency of my employability skills.
This enlarges my growth and development area through which I can acquire my desirable job
and can perform my operations within an organisation with great efficiency.
