INTRODUCTIONIn today's scenario health and social care practices are very much essential and these canbe considered as the most effective part of human life. People are affected by various kinds ofdiseases. In this modern era people are very much concern about their health and safety as eachindividual want easy, safe and comfortable life style without facing any kind of issue andproblems. People needs to aware about the issues and diseases, so that these can be resolved inmost efficient manner (Lee, Mahendra and Alvarez, 2010). The health and social care sector arevery much focused on providing high quality and best services to their potential customers inorder to satisfying their needs and wants. This sector is very much concern about maintainingprivacy and also focused on minimising the risk and hazardous. The present report is based ondifferent case studies which are related with health and social care sectors. In this report variousprinciples of health and social care practices are explained in detail. TASK 11.1 Principles are applied to ensure that Denis is cared for in the residential care home. The health and social care has various sections and departments which are helpful inproviding healthcare services to people in order to fulfilling their special needs and wants. Themajor aim of health and social care practices are to provide support to the services users inrespect of satisfying their actual needs and wants. The principles of support needs to be appliedin a specific way so that it helps in providing proper assurance and maintain the well-being andheath of services users. Care workers required to concern about the rights of patients and focusedon providing best products and services as per the needs and requirements of person. Denisarrived at a residential home care in the age of 92 after spending seven weeks in hospital. Hesuffered with the issue of hypothermia and he collapsed at home. After passing his wife Denisfeel isolated and alone at home and it has been noted by support worker and doctors that Denishas tried various attempts to harming his self due to frustration (Quinlan, Bohle and Lamm,2010). The major issue which is faced by Denis is money as he was not having sufficient moneyto taking advantage of comfortable hospitality services and his pension not going far. Residentialcare home are very much concern about providing best and comfortable services to theirpotential customers in order to ensuring about safety and security.
