INTRODUCTION Health and social care management is important for the firm in order to provide effective services to users in order to improve cultural and individual life effectively. The report will cover principles of support in wellness and social care practices and procedures of East and West care home for protecting clients, patients, and colleagues from harm along with benefits of following a person-centred approach with users of health and cultural care services. In addition to this, own roles, responsibilities, accountabilities and duties in context of working with those within and outside the health and social care work place and own contribution to the development and implementation of health and social care organisational policy will be discussed. Finally, the report will provide recommendations to develop own contributions. TASK 1 1.1 Principles of support in health and social care practice Health and social care are the essential aspects of our lives which helps everyone to select the way of good wellness. It helps to support the practices. It analyze the individuality, respect, equal opportunities and honor the different cultures. Health and social care practices helps in to support the friends and family.It also gives preference to wishes and respect the dignity of the person. (Bowling, 2014). Another principle of support in health and social care practices is protection from harm and assessing risk to self and others. It is very important to assure the quality of services and care in health and social. In social and health care there are types of harm like verbal abuse, physical abuse etc. Having a social communication system helps in social care practices (The principles of care. 2018). Principles helps health and social practices by supporting beliefs, morale and identities. Interaction and communication with people is the main aspects to support health and social care settings. By the help of guiding individuals in social practices improves the mental thinking of the clients who are involved in some physical and social activities. Protection in health settings protect the users and society from harm. It also helps in to protect food hygiene and assist in to improve the quality of the food (Glasby, 2017). People should make a positive contribution by engaging in social and health care settings and improves their surrounding environment. 1
1.2 Procedure for protecting clients, patients, and colleagues from harm The better health and care system help social groups and protect health of their patients. Medical staff helps in to provide the information about their surroundings. The providers in health and social care takes actions and treat them according to their status. Clients, patients and colleagues need a framework from protection against any harm. It is the responsibility of providers to protect their colleagues, patients and helps to deal with harmful situations. Health and social care providers should also enhance skills and performance to protect their patients and clients (Coyte and McKeever, 2016). Protecting from harm is also the important aspect for social care providers. The social care providers should respect the contributions of their clients and patients. A better health and social care helps clients to focus on their future goals and objectives. Person centered approach helps in to modify the lifestyle, mental needs and the environment of their clients. East and West care home delivers better care which helps individual in enhancing their health. TASK 3 4.1 Own role, responsibilities, accountabilities and duties in the context of working with those within and outside the health and social care workplace My role in health and social care practices helps in to operate smoothly and provide better environment to my clients. I must plan for the efficient structure for colleagues and clients. I suggest social and health care home should have up to date knowledge of health and safety for their clients. Creating a quality and better working environment for the individual clients. Responsibilities which I will follow is to communicate with the members of medical and health care staff and supervising social and home care facilities. Duties which I will follow is to work with other social and medical professionals to modify the quality of services for our clients and patients. I suggest that management of the finances services for better growth and manage costs and billing of the patients and clients. My accountability is to keep the strategies to deal with situations and swing plans into action whenever it is necessary (Ginter, Duncan and Swayne, 2018). I must learn skills for my duties and healthcare services. I assure my clients and patients with better services in the structure and my working and medical staff must up to date with current health care information systems. 4.2Owncontributiontothedevelopmentandimplementationofhealthandsocialcare organisationalpolicy I will contribute in healthcare policy by improve relationship between the health and social care structure. I must modify strategies which helps in to analysis threats and increase the effectiveness of social and healthcare home. I will set objectives for healthcare and provide resources. Effective care of clients and patients involves the whole medical and healthcare team activities. I will evaluate and audit result of healthcare with the help of client’s feedback services. Effective feedback services maintain the standard of healthcare and social home and it helps in to form loyal customer base. I must observe the cases of client’s gives accurate information. It plays an essential role in the modern world.
