gold standard of hospitality in cut throat competitive world. Top level management is framing
strategies by scanning the external environment in order to meet the occurring demand of the

2018). However, there are numerous advantages of continuous development plan for distinguish
stakeholders in an organization. Below are the brief discussion of these which are stated as
follows:
In an organization continuous professional improvement upgrade skills and knowledge in
impelling manner so that co-workers of Ritz Hotel can deliver professional services to
consumers in order to satisfy them. Along this continuous professional improvement
helps stakeholders to upgrade their skills in order to attain productive outcomes can be
accomplished as compare to others.
As the skills of the stakeholders are uplifted they make meaningful contribution in
motivating team mates to work effectively and efficiently. However this leads in
accumulation of more and more profits by satisfying consumers in neck to neck

While making efforts to meet the customers needs at their arriving employees of Ritz
hotel have gone through various functions. Due to this, it is essential for them to hold back some
professional ability and information so that they will be able to carry out all the business
activities in an effective way. As per the current market scenario, competition has take a huge
place due to the changes are incurring in a speedily manner which insist the management of Ritz
hotel to hire efficacious individuals in their organisation who has some special skills and
expertise (Hirschi, 2018). As the food and beverage department within the hotel is managed by
the manager in order to properly arrange the raw material so that the activity of preparing food
and beverages can be operated effectively. In this aspect, the both soft and hard skills are
required in a person like communication, team working, confidence and many more.

done on a daily basis so that the quality services can be delivered to the customers and all the

By assessing my self ability and competences I found that I m self motivated and perfect
for the job of supervisor in Ritz hotel as because I have all those skills such as higher
interpersonal and professional skills which enables me to perform this job role effectively. The
possession of these skills are required in the hospitality industry as in this the customers
interaction is important part and these plays an important role in treating well and offer best
quality services to the guests in order to enhance their travelling experience. Other, I have all the
motivational skills and traits which helps me in motivating the staff members towards achieving
the organisational goals and objectives on set deadlines (Novakovich and Shaw, 2017).
Although I have all the skills but still I am trying to enhance my skills by using the
concept of Kolb learning cycle which prove as a better way as it comprises both observatory
and reflective approaches which helps me in rising my skills and allows me to give their my
work potentially.

As my academics is completed this is my first job in Ritz. For the post of supervisor in
Ritz I am keen fascinated. The position role is to manage all work in Ritz for productive results.
As I received the telephonic call from the HR of Ritz I decided to join this vacant position with

a positive attitude and goal in order to increase my line of work graph to a large extent or on
large platform. The conversation on telephone was quite good and the human resource of Ritz
was happy with my telephonic round and communication. All this I acquired after long practice
in order to enhance my career graph. The enhancement directly or indirectly assist me to increase
my career graph in Ritz hotel with first role of supervisor. At the time of my academic period I
have learned how to examine own skills, capabilities by making a standards of present ability. of
actual skills, competencies or abilities which turn out to be positive mark for me . For my
prolonged line of work, this is essential for me to assess my self ability, competencies or ability
in order to conclude results regarding which type of ability I need to acquire so as to frame my
personality impressive as well as fit for the desire job role (Olsen and Buchanan, 2017 ). Here,
rank A means good, rank B means average, rank C means excellent, rank D stands for poor.

and efficient manner. But I happy that I already posses all this skills and need to polish them for

Which are the skills need to be improved by me: While going through self assessing
before joining the post of supervisor I find out that I lack behind in certain skills which are
essential for that position in Ritz. The areas where I lack are, problem solving skills, verbal
communication mode and conflict management. In order to provide productive results in Ritz it
is very essential to improve all this loop holes. There are some average skills like, learning and
counselling skills which need to be enhanced by slightly working on them either by taking
sessions, reading books, observing others and so on.
However, in to overcome this weakness developing professional development plan is
mandatory . Through this tool I am capable enough to solve loop holes in skills. In order to
perform my job role as supervisor in Ritz effective communication mode and problem solving
skill is most important aspect. Along with this in order to deal smoothly with customers good
command in such skills is compulsory. However, understanding of learning theory is essential to
understand along with this they have recommendation for learning style.

Learning plays a huge role in human behaviour as contains those processes which helps a
person in improving their existing skills and knowledge so that they can perform their job role in

is taking place in rapid manner which makes it essential for the manager of Ritz to have varied
skills as per the market or business requirements. In this aspect, the various theories and
approaches are given which can be utilised by the manager in order to enhance their learning
skills.

Behaviourist approach- Behavioral theory is reflect all those factors which are helping
in explaining a human by evaluating precursor and outcomes. In context of Ritz hotel, manager

theorist, reflector and pragmatist. It stated that, management of Ritz hotel needs to assign work
as per the talent and desire so that they training and development can be provided to them
accordingly.
So as to increase my knowledge and skills I will more focus on job training methods as it
will allow me to develop my skills at the time of taking all the performing the job activities
without wasting more time. Also, here I will render emphasis on presenting in the several
conferences and meetings so that I can learn some professional ethic and can enhance my
abilities to perform my job impressively.

I am mainly concern for getting the job role of restaurant supervisor at Ritz hotel as I
have all the necessary ability and competences which enables me In monitoring all the

Effective communication : My efficacious communication skills helps me in delegating

and give the best service to the customers.
