INTRODUCTION
This report aim so explore the understanding about professional identify of the person while they
are operating various task within the organisation. A professional identify helps in analysing the
whole concept, capabilities, value and the skills of the people as they are working within the
company(Wu, Palmer and Sha, 2020). When the individual is having the professional behaviour
and attitude, this leads to open up the career opportunities for them by having skills and
knowledge in their given job role. Marriott international is the chosen hotel for this respective
report, it is an American company which is operating as franchises and licenses lodging. It is
headquartered is in Bethesda, Maryland. This company is established by J. Willard Marriott and
his wife Alice Marriott. This respective report is going to analyse the benefits of professional
development and the expectation of the employers for the betterment of the skills and
competencies. Furthermore, the evaluation will have made to analyse the strength and
weaknesses.

development is the continuous process which require to update within the workplace. The aim of
professional practices is to develop the skills that are not commonly found among the individual
so that they can have the better practices in the target market. It is known that every individual
joins an organisation by analysing the company’s environment and also offer the career
opportunities. As the young generation are believing to undertake the experience which are
needed to grow in professional career.
Skills are vital for undertaking ongoing professional practices as a person will only analyse and
take high position when they have the capabilities to take duties and responsibilities. A skilled
person or employees will achieve its career aim within less time with the help of their skills and
