This is uses to ascertain needsfor the skill and competencies development to bring perfect change into career and increases theperson efficiency at the bigger denomination (Wenger-Trayner, 2014) In current era,professional practices is an ongoing process, in which focus is on developing skills and traits ofthe person and makes it perfect for performing job roles in the career. This report is consists ofself reflection and development of the professional skill with consideration of work andpractices. This report will cover info on Hilton hotel which is a leading hospitality firm wellknown for its renowned services at a major side. This report will provides discussion on ongoingdevelopment of an individual and also developing skill to perform defined job roles whileworking. TASK 1a) Benefits and importance of undertaking ongoing professional and personal developmentOn-going development is the continuous process by which skills, abilities or potential ofan individual can be enhanced for development of career goal of the person and brings existingskills as strength of a person to do defined work or goals. In TESCO, working is compulsivewhere person needs to apply his/her skill to perform own job roles into the defined manner.During an ongoing development, expectation for improvement always comes employer's side, sothat person could develop its own skills and competencies in accordance to that. Employer'sexpectations are mainly consists of skill and abilities to perform in the Hilton hotel campus.
