Current report based on Ritz Hotel which is a 5-star hotel in Piccadilly in London. It was
opened in 1906 by Ellerman Group. t is one of the most prestigious and well established hotels in
all over the world. This hotel has records of traveller's experience.
Along with this, present report based on different tasks which will be include, skills and
competences of human resource manager required for company. Further, importance and
advantages for ongoing personal and professional development that improve the career
prospectus. Current report will critical evaluate of human resource skill and abilities with self-
evaluation model or framework. At last, enterprise adopts the best approach of development for
enhance professional and personal development.

innovative idea to serve customers more effectively. It is essential for Ritz Hotel to perform over
enhancing its workers capabilities and skills by giving them a systematic or on-going
professional development.
On-going professional development introduces to the effective process of tracking as well
as also documenting the experience, knowledge and skills that an individual gain in formal and
informal manner (Carrillo, Baguley and Vilar, 2015). In addition, it is useful procedure of

recording and reflecting on development and learning. This type of development involves in
maintaining and improving the skills, experience and knowledge related to their professional
activities applying completion of their formal training. There are various number of stakeholders
who are highly benefited from Ritz hotel's ongoing professional development. Certain key

bring better coordination among them. It will further assist manager of hotel in enhancing

Use of technology: The supervisor for Ritz hotel must have accurate understanding
about the technology that can be applied to simply work as well as also enhance the working
quality. Proper knowledge about the technology helps them to complete each activities or tasks
in minimum time. Technology will also assist supervisor in interacting with workers and
communicating information effectively.

Therefore, personal skill audit helps me in identification of my biggest strength and
weakness for the supervisor position in Ritz hotel (Mackay, 2017). With the assist of these skills,
qualities and competencies I become more able to complete each activities within given time
period and systematic manner.

So Ritz Hotel should offer cognitive skills to their workforce so that they can use their on skills
and competencies and create new things and ideas. With the help of this approach the employees
of the respective company can make improvement in their problem solving skills. With the help
it they can effectively solve the issues when they are working individually and team.
Behaviourism approach- This approach refers that development and improvement
occurred in the nature and behaviour of employees cause of environment and atmosphere in
which they are living and performing their actions and activities. With the help of this approach,
the workforce can make improvement in their skills and with the help of it they can perform
effectively in the working environment. For example, with the help of this approach, the
workers can make improvement in their communication and time management skills.
With the assistance of these approaches, the administration of Ritz Hotel can make
improvement in the learning skill and ability of workers in the firm. In addition to there are
several learning theories which are also beneficial for the development of employees of a

Kolb learning theory- This theory is developed by David Kolb and it consist four stages
experience, reflection, conceptualisation and test which are effective and appropriate to make a
person to learn new things (Rosenblum, Kluijtmans and ten Cate, 2016). Accordant to this
theory, a respective pass though these four phases of learning and and with the assistance of
them, the person can easily develop and perform new activities, things and actions. The
administrator of receptive hospitality firm can use this learning concept to make improvement in
the learning of the workforce of the organisation. This theory involves the acquisition of abstract
concepts that can be applied flexibly in a range of situation. This concept is beneficial because it
help in improving attitude regarding learning and the personal nature of this theory engage the

knowledge and competencies. With the help of it, it can be possible and easily to me that I can
attempt my allotted task and accomplish the set objectives. I have good decision making skill and
average communication skill so it required improvement.

cognitive approach because with the help of it, they can melioration in the employees

There are some requirement to make change or modifications in this activity like it

hindrance in present way is less flexibilities and expectations of mis- interpretation. In state to
deal with these issues like lack of flexibilities, the management of the company can conduct and
organise personal interview in non structured formate in which this process and activity can
acquire much flexibleness. The questions which are asked by the interviewer in interview
process have to much circumstantial and ask in easy speech communication by which chances of
mis interpretation can be minimised and reduced.
Reflection and own abilities during the activity
The rumination of my own experiences is as following which I have crosswise at the time
period of interview process. I felt that my abstraction skill is good in comparison to other
because the interview asked me several questions and I am giving the answers of them frequently
without any problem. The organisation also conduct a test to check the written communication of
the individual and I also pass in it and selected for the interview round. So I felt that I have good
oral and engrossed abstraction skill. I am also have more patient in comparison to other
candidates because I am waiting for the first round result where as other were very disturbed and
feel uncomfortable. I have also good listening skill which is beneficial to me because with the
help of it I can clear understand the views of the interviewer (Cruess and et. al., 2015). I am not
good decision making skills because when the person asked me a question which is related to a
problem then I am not able to answer to that.
CONCLUSION
From the preceding substance, it can be concluded that individual and professional
improvement is an crucial aspect which help in making growth and success of the business of the
company. It is also important for the evolution of individual at personal and professional level. In
constituent to this, it has been summarised that with the assistance of constant professional and
personal improvement in the competencies and knowledge of employees of the company. For
this the management of the company can use various approaches and theories of learning which
are effective to develop or improve individuals learning. With the help of self assessment a
