LO1Ongoing professional development importance that helps in enhancing professional identity Ongoing professional development is the term that is being used for learning and gettingknowledge on continuous basis while doing training or doing any professional course. It is veryimportant for developing skills and knowledge for the future course of action. This helps inimproving standards of an employee in the Hilton hotel as compared to others. This will help inmaintaining interest of an employee so that it can learn new things every day and can implementit in professional life (Cruess Cruess and Steinert, 2016). It also helps in increasing confidenceas when it gets chance to speak in front of the public so if it has knowledge then it will be able tospeak confidently. Similarly, self directed learning is also important as it helps in enhancingactive participation of employees in the company. This helps in building decision making,planning and problem solving skills that will be help in getting more career opportunities in thefuture. Continuous professional development and self directed learning will help in enhancingidentity and more growth in the near future. These type of learning will help in improving skillsthat will be needed for achieving success and building more confidence to compete in thebusiness.LO2Skills, competences and learning approaches that is needed for professional developmentJob role is regarding HR manager of Hilton hotel.
