INTRODUCTION
Professional practices is an approach to specialized training in a further education school
and professional colleges through which students acquire knowledge and learn to apply methods.
Training provided by the college and education school gives students a better understanding
level of their responsibilities and the skills. Sixth form college, UK is an educational sector
where students study for advanced level of qualification such as technology and business
education. The report will give detailed information about professional practices and values in
educational sector. This will develop the confidence level of students which can also improve
their overall performance and personality. Professionalism helps the students and tutor succeed
in their job. The case study will provide brief knowledge about roles of stakeholders and their
impacts on education and training. Furthermore, the report will analyse the quality assurance and
improvement of workplace. The objectives of this report is to evaluate the educational policy
level to implement effectively, to study the major challenges and factors affecting learning. The
case study will provide explanation on stakeholders and their impacts on education. At last, the
report will analyse function of self assessment and identify department in the learning program
for improvement.
TASK 1
1.1 The concept of professionalism and dual professionalism in education and training
The word professionalism is commonly understood as an individual being reliable,
showing care about job and setting high standards. Using professional titles and polite words
while talking to others and listen them respectfully. Responsibility, dedication, adaptability and
passion are the elements that can make an individual successful. By taking leadership of their
responsibilities, professionals make names for themselves in every field and ultimately find
opportunities and career oriented benefits. The skills and knowledge that teachers and tutor must
have in order to be effective educators and provide complete training to their students. In training
and education, professionalism also involves dressing perfectly and physical appearance. It also
includes communication skills because its shows how the person talk and act both outside and
inside of school.
The concept of professionalism has a positive impact on teacher performance and
potential. Conversely, teacher performance has a positive effect on student training and learning

outcomes and also shows good education sense. Interpersonal skills and interacting with others
respectfully plays a vital role to being professional in education and business sector. Professional
ethics in education sector ensure good teaching and positive learning atmosphere for the students
and develop the quality of learning. Lack of professionalism in education sector is evidenced by
teacher and students indiscipline. Sixth form college follows professionalism in order to provide
better training in education field to their students. For the development of professionalism as a
educator teacher the professionals arrange seminars, workshops and conferences and
independent investigation. With the help of these practices, the teachers can find out the strength
and weaknesses of their students.
Dual professionalism is the combination of excellent learning practices and teaching
provided by experience person and expertise. The professional are experts and teaching
professional that helps their students in improving their expertise in order to ensure the good
outcomes for students in the education sector. The professional have expert communication
skills, superior listening skills, organization management skills, strong business and work ethic
and the ability to build relationship with students.
1.2 Explaining the ways in which professional values influence practice in an area of specialism
The professional values for teachers in the education field measure and ensure about
responsibilities, cooperation and honesty. It helps students and teachers to develop professional
identity and give detailed information about students needs. The values which are determined by
culture, ethics, environment. Professional values plays a vital role in every area of specialism in
order to set standards. Nowadays, clinical nurses are required to have deep knowledge and skills
to provide high quality care to their patients and provide safety concerning professional values as
high standards. The concept of professionalism can help the individual to understand the role to
have expertise in healthcare fields.
The present study aimed to examine the significance of professional values from health
care perspective. Professional group has primary standards called professional values. These
values considered as the encouragement of professional behaviour for the staff members of
certain profession. It is utilized to evaluate the honesty and adaptability of professionals
practices. In the sixth form college, the management has established the learning program and
course with respect to health care. In the course they have arranged a session giving detailed
information on Clinical nurses and their responsibilities. Professional values are a source to
