Introduction
The objective of the paper is to create subsidiary management plan for the given project.
In this part of the assessment the main focus will be on determining the project scope and a time
associated with the vehicle maintenance facility case study. The report will be divided into sub
parts for better understanding of the credentials that are associated with time and scope
management plans. Apart from this the project will also develop a WBS along with the network
diagram using the critical path method so that it becomes easy to understand the schedule. Hence
it can be stated that by the end of the assessment it will become easy to understand the scope and
time management plan for the given case study.
Background of the project
Vehicle maintenance facility projector is a hypothetical project that is designed for the
purpose of providing better maintenance towards the vehicles. This design will contain all the
essential features that are associated with a small scale commercial building. It is assumed that
the contract will be fixed price, will be executed within the scope that has been arranged by the
owner and the general contractor. The site of the project is located on city streets in the industrial
Park. The site has been developed with all the necessary features that are present within a small
scale commercial building. The plan includes a large parking area for managing the vehicles and
will also ensure that proper movement is offered during the service. Apart from this the vehicle
service area is also designed with the necessary handling facilities so that he can manage to
pickup trucks and light vans. All the features are established within the project starting from the
condenser unit to suspended ceiling. In addition to these it has been observed that standard power

and lighting has also been designed with in the building. Hence it can be stated that all the
essential components are designed properly within the project. However there is a need to
manage the relation between the project management plans so that it becomes easy to execute the
project within the estimated time and budget. Thus the project will focus on aligning the key
factors that are associated with organizing a project efficiently.
Objective and goal of the project
The key objective behind developing the project is to ensure that each component is
associated with the Vehicle maintenance facility has been organized properly. For executing a
project successfully it becomes very essential to ensure that the project has included all the
components at the scheduling phase. The project focuses on executing each phase within the
fixed budget so that it does not face any challenges at the execution time. The project objectives
and goals based on which the project execution will be carried out are as follows:
1. The objective of the project is to offer better services and facilities
2. The goal is to ensure that the project has been executed within the fixed time and budget
3. All the requirements and needs of the customers are fulfilled while executing the project
4. Enhancing the business capabilities with proper project management knowledge
5. Evaluating the essential factors that has the potential to hamper the project
Project scope statement
The scope of the project is to ensure that the project has been executed within the pre-
estimate aid budget and time. This will also ensure that all the resources are managed efficiently.
The focus is to ensure that all the vehicles are provided with proper facilities and the service is

obtained are of high quality. It is expected that by the end of the project an efficient service will
be provided towards the customer.
Assumptions and Constraints
At the beginning of the project it has been assumed that the project will be completed
within the budget that was pre-deter mind by the owner. In order to execute everything is proper
project resources will be aligned so that project does not face any challenge. Project manager is
responsible for evaluating the phases is associated with the successful development of the
project. The estimated project budget is $1,162,366. Project constraints are referred to the
limitations that might hamper the development process of the project. Thus there is a needed to
determine the key point that has the potential to hamper the overall budget. The possible project
constraints are time constraint, budget factor, and the lack of resources. Time is considered as
one of the important factor for executing a project. If the project manager fails to organize the
tasks efficiently, than it becomes difficult to estimate the overall time that is needed for project
completion. Thus with the increase in overall time the budget will also increase. Thus in order to
ensure that all the phases are executed within the time it is important to manage the time factor.
Secondly budget is considered as an essential component, thus before starting a project it is
important to arrange all the resources properly so that the chances of budget overrun can be
mitigated. Budget overrun can also occur due to improper correlation between the tasks. Lastly
resource management needs to be done properly so that all the components can be organized
within the project efficiently.

Work breakdown structure
Work breakdown structure is developed for the purpose of establishing a common
understanding between the project scopes. It is represented in hierarchical format so that it
becomes easy to understand overall deliverables associated with the project. Each descending
phase within the WBS is represents an increasingly detailed description about the project. Thus it
is important to ensure that the project has been divided into proper work breakdown structure.
The key features that are associated with work breakdown structure are that it is easily defined as
well, can be managed efficiently, it can be easily estimated and can be measured for identifying
the progress of the project. The work breakdown structure for the project is designed for the
