campus (Burke, 2013). This document is very helpful for starting any new project because
manager gain and communicate necessary informations to the stakeholders and it also helps in
understanding about purpose of project by following procedures such as:
Defines the project and its scope.
Project justifications.
Secure funding for the project.
Clarify roles and responsibilities for project participation.
Provide better information to the people as they need to be effective as well as
effective from start.
Project initiation structure followed several procedures for constructing a particular project in an
appropriate manner. QAHE also have their own structure as well as template of Project Initiation
document which describe some specific information that may be quite similar, despite variations
while using them. There are various aspects including in this such as: Budgetary information: This an essential for making effective and efficient project as it
is very beneficial to meet with particular requirements. As per this case study, QA Higher
education is planning for adopting new latest technologies and bring changes within
London campus for providing better educations and more facilities to the students.
Therefore, project manager have to consider regarding budget so that plan can be
executed in better way and also estimations of budget including intuitiveness, speed and
good arrangement of the systems. Time scale : It generally concern with time duration of particular project so in this
includes specifications regarding rate of time passes as well as points in time. It is very
necessary for project initiation that to define about proper time duration like when will
start or finish. Project manager always consider this factor for deciding the limitation of
time for refurbishing of new teaching rooms and computing labs in London campus. Objectives: Every projects have some specific purpose and objectives for accomplishing

manager must be consider this for proper planning as he should be focus on stakeholder
and communicate with them regarding brining new changes within campus as adopting
latest technologies, replacing furnitures and many more. Stakeholders are key people that
helps in implementing plan and completions of projects in an effective manner (Hanisch

each unique risks that have major effects which can affects on the process or activities
during the project time. There can be founded any link which are related with project
status report, risk identification as well as its impact form.
There are number of risks documentation which are contained in the risk register and these
aspects are given below:
Owner: It is the most important aspect as owner is person who take responsibilities for
analysing and identifying risk factors within the QA higher educations campus during project
time durations and collects more relevant data for the purpose of effective planning. They use
those gathered informations for each risk or uncertainties (Kerzner, 2013).
Mitigation : This an essential or helpful tools that help in resolving problems or issues in

Risk management plan is very beneficial for matching entire risk with certain time points
in the project (Bucero, 2015). Team members and project managers are free to worry
about any uncertainties because they are ready to face them and resolve by defining
strategies as well as tools or techniques (Ramazani and Jergeas, 2015).
Risk manager has power to monitor the potential risks with its predetermined goals or

implementation plan in appropriate manner.
There are various components included in this risk management plan such as:
Process: It includes entire procedures which is consider for determining, assessing,
evaluating as well as mitigating by using project life cycle.
Work Break down structure: It is very helpful in dividing task and activities in the team
so it is required to transfer the WBS for project risk management (Englund, 2015).
Risk register: this is another important feature for avoiding unnecessary activities so that
risks can be reduced in effective manner.
Risk management planning: This is also an effective process for developing the new
products in the market as it included different approaches, plans and performance risks

(b)
PRINCE 2 approach is an important tool that generally used by many organisation for the
purpose of effective project completions. In this consider three major areas such as organisation
and controlling of all the events at the starting, during and end of the particular project. This
approach is very beneficial for QAHE campus because it helps in raising many key questions as
what are the aims or ambition of project and when it will start or any requirements of external
support (Walker, 2015). There are some strengths and weaknesses of PRINCE 2 methodology
for the specific project such as:
Strengths

It is predictable: in this includes several kinds of steps which must be followed in proper
sequences. It support in making these approaches as more predictable. There are various
advantages of predictability which are helpful in effective completion of project and it
will not get out of control. Standardisation: It is also another benefit for project during the critical situations such
as failing of quality (Thomson, 2015). PRINCE 2 focus on better standardisation because
it is an effective tool that reduce the probability of misdirection and miscommunication.
Time and cost effective: PRINCE 2 is very popular approach which support in saving
time and reduce expenses. QAHE can be use this model within the nations where they
need not to invest any extra time, efforts and costs for providing training to employees or
staff members. Risk also can be identified at the beginning stage.
Weaknesses:
Complex: It is not easy task to adopt the model of PRINCE 2 because it must be
required to give proper knowledge and training to that person who are has no idea
regarding this so that fail situations or results can be avoid and employees will work in
effective manner.
Not realistic: There are various procedures or phases involved in such approach that
can be unrealistic. For example, find the risks or uncertainties at the beginning of
project. It may be difficult because of critical situations and circumstances which may
occur at the mid of the project. They are completely unpredictable as well as
unrealistic as usual.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it can be concluded that QAHE which is higher educational
institution in London campus can refurbishing its class rooms and computing labs as per the
changes of business environment. There can be more risks or uncertainties that can be occurred
while projecting time or running the activities. It may affects on the project goals or objectives.
In this project initiation also discussed which defined as a document and project manager use it
for completing project in as per the plan so that predetermined goals or objectives can be
achieved. QAHE can hires suitable candidates who have knowledge and experience about
effective teaching so that better educations can be provided. They can use PRINCE 2 approach
