TASK 1 Analyze three project management methodologies PMM is strictly defined combination of logically related approaches, procedures and practices that identify how best to develop, plan, manage and deliver a project throughout continuous implementation procedures until successful termination & completion (Matos and et.al., 2019). It is essentially a set of process and guiding principles for managing a task. Types of project management methodologies- Waterfall- It is one of the oldest methodologies outlined by Dr Winston Royce as a response to operating increasingly difficult nature of software development (Hamad and Al Fayoumi, 2018). It has become highly used and adopted, most prominently in digital sector. The advantage of this project management method is easy to comprehend and utilize. Division between phases is innate & easy to grasp regardless of previous experience. On the other hand, rigidity of this approach means that when someone find need or error to change something, individual have to effectively begin project from starting, this substantially increase risk of task failure. Agile- It is another project management method emerged as response to failure of waterfall approach for managing complex tasks. It can be said that with this methodology person obtain regularfeedbackfromconsumers,managersandotherstakeholdersaswellasmake modification accordingly. It effectively and efficiently reduces risk of work failure since stakeholders are included at every phase. Whereas, agile method emphasizes responding to modified as they occur. It is lack of any fixed strategy makes scheduling and resource management harder rather than before. Individual will rapidly have to struggle assets, bringing them on an ad-hoc basis. Hybrid- This methodology used to help the organization in resolving the project in better way. As this methodology is the combination of formal as well as agile methodology of the project. This project generally used to look at the final result rather than project. It also used to describe the understanding of project in better way. Reliability of outcome is the issue with the methodology for the short term project in the organization. 3
