RESEARCH PROPOSALBackground of the studyHospitality industry is the fastest growing sector that contributes well in economicdevelopment of nation. There are many companies, which are facing huge challenges such asshortage of skilled labour, improper management, staff turnover etc. These topical issues arecreating problems for business to sustain in market for longer duration. Lack of skilled or trainedemployees is considered as one of the major issue in hospitality industry. Hotels, restaurants arethe serving sector; they have to provide amazing and high quality services to their consumers. Ifcompanies do not have trained personnel then it might create problem in serving guests well. Inthe recent time hotels are struggling for matching staff skill levels so that they can meet theconsumer demands (Ashton, Maguire and Spilsbury, 2016). This challenge affects growth planof company to great extent. Talent gaps and deficiencies directly and indirectly affect expansionstrategy of enterprise. Hospitality industry is required more skilled chefs, hotel managers thosewho can meet with consumers demands properly and can make them positive towards the brand.Skilled labour are lifeblood of any business, they put their hard efforts for accomplishinggoal of organisation. In order to raise skills of people, firms are arranging training anddevelopment programmes for candidates so that they can understand their work responsibilitiesand can perform it well. The main agenda of the present research is to identify impact of shortageof trained personnel on Qbic hotel (Brixiová, Ncube and Bicaba, 2015). Over a period of time, ithas been observed that sales of Qbic is continuously declining. Consumers are not givingpositive reviews on its site and that is why entity is struggling for surviving the market for longerduration. Hilton, Marriott hotels are biggest competitor of Qubic hotel and they are offeringluxurious services to their guests that influence decision of consumers significantly. In order togain attention of audience entity is required to minimise gap of skilled labour and have to hiretalented personnel within firm who can be able to serve customers well.
