clients. TQM provides management with effective methods that can be used to gain long-term
success through customer satisfaction. The use of TQM in the organization can guide in various
1
ways by enhancing the quality of organization and performance of employees. As stated by
Neyestani, B., (2017), both hard and soft skill can be developed in the organization by making
use of TQM. To maintain the position in competitive world TQM implementation is important
for the organization. TQM is essential for betterment of the business as it will produce more
innovative ideas and develop new products. The Needs of the workplace can be identified with
help of TQM.
It will provide a better and advanced way for the organisation to fulfil the desired needs
of the market. This practice will also enhance the employee performance and bring change in
attitude of employees that will lead to development of effective team and proper work culture.
With the introduction of systematic approach, the quality improvement team will lower the
amount of waste and inefficiency across business as per O’Neill, Sohal and Teng, (2016). To be
effective in interaction and communication across organization TQM practice will bind various
departments and different levels of management.
However, on the other side, an extensive training and assistance to employees need to be
given during the implementation of TQM in a company. In this training, guidance is given to
employees in order to solve the issues with various methods and tools in order to examine the
weaknesses. According to Samset and Volden, (2016), there can be decline in the productivity
during the initial stage of training period. The productivity can also be lowered as the meeting
for improving the quality can take workers away from their jobs. The employee output can also
be decreased during the initial stage of implementation of TQM due to enhancement that is done
in order to decrease lead time, reduce waste and enhance productivity.
To take the business forward TQM make use of small incremental model which might
take a lot time to enjoy the program benefits. A huge disadvantage for a TQM practice can be the
high price of implementation and it may take a long period to show the benefits and outcomes of
this implementation as stated by Samset and Volden, (2016). It can produce an additional cost
for the organization and a lot of time is taken during this training so the employees are not able
to complete their day to day jobs. Employee resistance can occur during implementation of TQM
as when the management does not communicate effectively with TQM team then the workers
may become fearful. The resistance of program by workers can lead to employee morale and
productivity of business.

Statistics Quality Control (SQC) make use of methods of statistics in order to view and
maintain the quality of products and services. According to Smart, Gravett and Fisher, (2017), it
makes use control charts and sampling plans to ensure product quality and services to be
effective in the company. This method can be utilized by the quality professionals. With the help
of statistical equipment, the SQC method can be carried out. The main objective of this method
is to make sure whether the products have the specified quality or not and it will monitor and
check whether process of production is controlled or not. To assess the standard quality of goods
through statistical experiments SQC can be used.
As per Samset and Volden, (2016), SQC can be beneficial for the company in many
ways. As it will give an efficient way to find out errors and mistakes during inspection. This
method can be useful to check whether process of production is under control or not. By using it
across business one can achieve a more enhanced quality of production. This method can
enhance the productivity of the company as it improves the customer relationship and will
decrease the number of complaints and issues from customers. So, an efficient customer
relationship can be maintained by use of SQC.
The continuous and proper use of statistical method can provide benefit to the company
as per Westgard, (2017). SQC have developed the quality consciousness feeling within the
employees that are working in company. This will decrease the number of errors and mistakes
and improve the functionality of the business. Desired product according to preferences of
customers can be achieved by this method.
However, on the other side in a company the people are not having enough knowledge of
use of statistical methods. As the focus is shifted from production to service sphere the role of
statistical quality control is becoming less important. According to Wiengarten, Humphreys, and
McIvor, (2016), SQC is not applicable to all process of production without evaluating their
particular environment. In the process of analysis, they may include various issues related to
mathematics and statistics. To all the quality evils SQC cannot be applied in discriminatory as a
solution. If the general quality awareness is not present then it may produce a false sense of
security.

innovative and advanced airport for the people across globe. This project will give more facilities
and luxury to the people so plans and strategies need to be made keeping this in mind. TQM
program was launched at this project in order to show the impact it will have on the
implementation of TQM at “Brisbane Airport Re-development” as per Yun, Choi and Mulva,
(2016).
During the implementation of TQM at this project it is necessary to understand the
current reality of the organization. It will be easier to implement TQM if the track records of
organization are effective to the environment. According to Alamand, Sinha and Ali, (2016),
there can be employee scepticism and lack of skilled change agents if an organization have been
reactive and has no talent to enhance its operations. In order to assess the current level of
organizational functioning and areas in need of change management audit tool can be used.
Before starting up with TQM at this project, various issues such as weak administration system,
poor employee morale need to be solved else TQM will not be appropriate.
The TQM will enhance the productivity of the project by educating the staff about the
importance of quality in products and services and how to increase and maintain it for the
sustainable growth of business as per Badewi, (2016). With TQM, the company can develop a
special committee whose responsibility will be to see the systemic transfer for improvement. It
will also help to achieve customer-satisfaction by providing best quality services to its
customers. With the use of TQM, the objective and goals of the organization will be more clear
and understandable. More advanced products and services can be made by using this type of
practice.
The wants and needs of the clients and customers can be understood by using this method
and it will help to guide and make products and services as per the choice of customers. This will
also lead to long-term success for this project. According to Keohane and Olmstead, (2016), the
competition that is rising in the world can be reduced by making use of TQM at business. All the
market needs will be fulfilled during the implementation of TQM at the project. The better and
enhanced quality products will be made. Also, extensive training will be given to the employees
that are working under this project in order to be more efficient with the approach of TQM. The
authorities that are working towards the development of this project need to understand both the
cons and prose of implementation of TQM and SQC so as to gain more efficiency in their work.

The various operations of the business can be improved gradually by the use of
TQM at this process. At tactical, front-line level TQM are applied where there is an involvement
of production, clerical and low-level managers. The cross-departmental teams and cross-
functional knowledge sharing will be formed as both TQM and SQC focus on teamwork which
leads to such formations (Badewi,2016). These are important for the project as it may enhance
communication and improve the individual talent of employees. Rather on inspecting quality in a
process TQM emphasis on improving the quality within a process. This project will recognize
the best measure of quality as per the requirements of customers in terms of service, products
and experience with the help of TQM and SQC.
