INTRODUCTION
Every firm conduct recruitment and selection process in order to hire right person at the
right job profile. Recruitment and selection is considered as procedure in which management
identify the requirement of job, estimating requirement of position as well as the profile holder,
advertising about the position and selecting most appropriate individual for job (Abraham and et.
al., 2015). Organisations selected for this report is University of Oxford which is established in
1096 and it is located at England, United Kingdom. The main of conducting this report is to hire
tutor for business management course at respective university. Topics included in this report are
how firm plan activities related to recruitment using internal and external sources as well as it
include impact of legal and regulatory on respective activities. Moreover it will also include
preparation of documents that are used for selection and recruitment process as well as it explain
about plan for taking part in selection interview.

1.1 Identify how organisations plan recruitment using internal and external sources
Recruitment is considered as procedure of attracting, fleeting, selecting as well as
appointing most suitable candidates for specific job profile within a company (Stanujkic,
Djordjevic and Karabasevic, 2015). It is also defined as process that include selection of
individual for unpaid roles. University of Oxford is conducting recruitment activities in order to
hire tutor for business management course. For this they are evaluating plan of recruitment by
using different internal and external sources, from which some are mentioned below:-
Internal sources of recruitment-
It is considered as method in which company consist employees who are already on its
payroll. This will also include former staffs who returned to work for a company. There are
several sources or method can be used in order to conduct internal hiring. Some internal internal

 Data protection Act: It is considered as law which impact or guide a business that how

privacy. The main aim of developing this legislation is to govern companies or any

effective manner like they short list candidates on the basis of score not any other specific
favouritism factor. Along with this it will also guide respective university for on several

 Minimum Wage Act: According to this regulation employer of a company need to pay
their employees minimum wage which is fixed by government bodies. For firm it is

4.1 Plan to take part in a selection interview
There are several factors which are necessary to be considered while a person is planning
for selection interview, from which some main factors are given below:
 Dress properly: It is necessary for a person who is going for an interview to plan an
appropriate outfit which fit in the culture of company because it will help in developing

impression (Karabašević and et. al., 2016). If a company didn't have dress code then
interviewee must wear business casual.
 Arrive on time: Interviewee need to arrive 15 minutes before their interview time so that
he/ she can do all paper work as well as within that time they can also understand culture
of firm.
 Mind your manner: A person who is going for interview or selection process need to be
polite as well as greet everyone they meet including people meet at elevator (Mahmood,
2015). It is also necessary to give warm greeting to interviewer while entering to
