Introduction
The recruitment process includes attracting the attracting the candidates, short listing
them, selecting the suitable candidates and appointing them for suitable in various job roles
within the organization (Hawranik and Pangman 2016). There are different methods for selecting
the right candidates for the right job. The recruitment process for the Information technology
involves an IT recruiter who carries out the work of laisoning between the company and the
clients and is paid for the same. These people select candidates for both contract workers and in-
house candidates. The main aim of the paper is to highlight the recruitment process for the field
of IT, the analysis of the MBTI test, international experience related to the same field and the
importance of ethics in the field of IT.
Recruitment process used in Information technology
The recruitment process for the Information technology field includes various stages.
These can differ depending upon the company however; there are a few steps that are common
for all the organizations recruiting the Information technology and application development.
These stages include: identifying the sources from which the suitable applications can be got.
These can be portals, application intake and others, after that the second stage is recruitment
which includes pre-screening, screening, various types of tests including written tests and others
and various rounds of interview. The next step includes hiring of the right candidate such as
carrying out a final interview, various types of assessment tests and reference checks. Other
types of checks area also carried out. These days a psychometric test is carried out in order to

for various job roles in organization. Through LinkedIn organization can look for candidates that
they need by going through their profiles. The skills testing imply carrying out tests such as soft
skills and technical skills tests. There can be tests requiring the candidates to show their job-
specific skills.
The critical analysis of the MBTI type test
I gave the Myers Briggs type indicator test while making application for job in one of the
reputed IT companies because it represents my emotional intelligence and behavioral
characteristics. The main purpose of using this test is to understand the behavioral variations due
to our judgments and perceptions (Schwalbe 2015). There are various elements of the test on the
basis of which our behavior is understood. These characteristics can be extroversion or
introversion, intuition or sensing, feeling or thinking and perception or judgment. In my test I got
INFP or introversion, intuition, feeling and perceiving. It means that I prefer focusing on myself
rather than the world and so I have got a high score n introversion, I am more intuitive than
sensing this means that I have the habit of adding meaning to the facts and do not trust the facts
alone. I go by my feelings and not by my thinking that means I have a habit of carrying out
activities I feel is good according to me and I take decisions based on my feeling than logic. My
high score on perception shows that in case of any conversation with others I feel open to accept
information as against judgment. I am a creative person and so I feel that I take all decisions
based on my feelings rather than logic and I have good communication skills but according to the

I believe in doing my work ethically and I also believe in maintaining my integrity and
these values of mine can help me for future career development because in my field there are
many ethical issues and if I can avoid the same through my ethical practices tan that can help in
n carrying out my work properly in the organization.
Importance of ethics in my professional field
Ethics is important for information technology because of helps in creating a culture of
responsibility, trust, excellence and integrity in using the resources in the most secured way.
Ethics in Information technology also helps in keeping the information confidential and protects
the same from any unauthorized use thereby helping in avoiding dishonesty (Schwalbe 2015).
New technologies’ if not used properly can result in serious ethical consequences that can affect
the reputation of both the company and me. There are professional ethics lay down the accepted
standards of behavior and organization adopt these professional ethical practices. There are
different types of ethical issues for information technology such as- hacking, viruses, piracy and
others. For instance: the professional IT experts help in designing the networks that is used by
the businesses to keep databases of all the information related to the candidate. However, in case
the IT professional of our company is engaged in carrying out unethical practices then the
