Strength
Marriott is one of the biggest Hospitality group and has a long fame worldwide.
Organisation has a trained and skilled workforce which increases efficiency, quality and
productivity of work. Firm offer variety of services to middle and upper classes group in
different part of globe. Firm focuses on setting organisation near to airport, premium, tourist
location etc. which decrease unnecessary travelling as well as searching hotels for the journey by
customers and hence increase their customer satisfaction level and impact on growth of firm.
Marriott focuses on sustainable business development practices and hence started organic food
concept in its restaurant which again influencing number of travellers visiting country (Hay,
2020). Organisation has a strong financial ability which helps in investment in different type of
hospitality business.
Weakness
Firm targeting most of time upper middle classes and hence pricing strategy is premium
which effecting middle class people and decrease market share in time of Globalization. Accor,
Hilton and other hospitality group invested large part of profit on promotion of product &
services which again breaking firm’s customers because of less investment and focus on it.
Training and development programs for new technologies and hospitality are not effective as
compare to other firm and hence it decreasing customer satisfaction level. After pandemic
number of hotels of Marriott about to close because of less tourism and not change its traditional
strategy. Organisation has a poor Information technology system which leads to hacking of
customer details in 2018 and hence decreases good-will of firm. Marriott has family focused
business which again decreasing chances to sustain business in time of globalization.
Bureaucratic type of leadership style followed by senior management which again affecting
reputation of firm.
Opportunities
Firm has to changes its traditional way of reaching to customers and which are blocking
its customers. Marriott expanded business in different part of globe and hence it can separate
brand for lower and middle classes people which help in increasing market share in changing

Firm business highly effected from pandemic and decreases its market share and it unable
to hold position before the pandemic and it will difficult to run business continue till tourism
again boom in country. Competition is high among hospitality business in United Kingdom
which again effecting firm planning as well as strategy for sustainable business. Company offers
product & services to international travellers but terrorism can affect its business and hence can
effect on image of firm. Poor IT system may leak its strategy as well as planning.
Reflection
There are various types of skill that developed during the module which increase efficiency,
quality and productivity of work and hence impact on professional growth. In the starting i was
facing challenges in managing time as number of new task has to performed and submits on time
but after sometimes taking help from professor and schedule every activities overcome from time
management problem (Wain, 2017). Able to identify that I am good team participation as in
various project my enthusiasm was great even appreciate teachers for the same. Share my
opinion, view in positive way for the team task and hence it can easily understand by other and
different times my guesses come true for various activities. I have good communication skills
which increase my influence over other and I am able to take output from them timely with
greater efficiency and productivity. It will help me when I will start working with Multination
Company where leadership plays important role for achieving higher goals as well as improve
position. I was three time project leader for different tasks and able to complete on time which
improve image in front of teachers as well as students in University. Effective communication
skills again help in talking to people nicely and gain their confidence easily. I am able to
understand that am good at verbal as well as non verbal form of communication. Problem
solving skill was also good which help in taking decision on time and complete activity
productively.
