1REFLECTIVE Introduction In order to compete in the dynamic business environment, it is very important for any organization to ensure that it is successfully able to complete with the different firms present. Quality can be described as a crucial aspect of any product or service being sold (Clark, Silvester and Knowles 2013). Hence, a business should always look out to serve the best quality. The given reflection will be discussing my learnings in this module and the ways in which I will be applying these learnings in my future career. Learnings and Knowledge acquired Through the given module, I was given the knowledge of a wide variety of domains which are very crucial in maintaining the quality of the products and services which are being provided by the organization. The given module taught various topics like quality costs and employeeinvolvement,Qualitymanagementsystems,problemsolvingtools,designsof experiments and reliability, advanced quality planning, business excellence and benchmarking along with quality management systems (Ross 2017). This knowledge will assist me in my future endeavors in the given domain and helped me to understand the importance of quality. Quality plays a crucial role in the business and for this reason, it is very important for the business to ensure that the quality standards are maintained throughout. Application to advance the career The knowledge which I have attained from the given module will go a long way in assisting me in my future as a procurement specialist. I have been working in the given post since the last few years and for this I have often had to deal with the quality of the products. Hence, an acute knowledge of the different chapters under the given module assisted me in
2REFLECTIVE understanding how to manage the quality of the supplies and form systems related to them. Chapters like advanced quality planning and problem solving tools greatly assisted me in doing better at my workplace. Areas for improvement Although undertaking this module has assisted me with my work in the professional domain, there are various areas in which I am required to work upon and improve. Chapters like Business excellence, benchmarking and service quality helped me to understand that I am not adequately strong in those domains and that I am required to undertake practices which will further assist me in achieving my defined objectives of excelling in all topics in this module. Suggestions Although the given course, is very comprehensive in nature, there exists topics which need to be included in the given domain (Goetsch and Davis 2014). These topics include topics related to Artificial intelligence and the use of technology in the domain of quality (Christopher 2016). With the advent of technology, I believe that these topics are very crucial and are required to be included in the module. Conclusion Hence, from the given analysis it can be stated that, the given module, is very informative in nature and comprehensive as well. It consists of a wide range of topics which assist in understanding practical work and have contributed to my success in the professional domain. I have provided certain recommendations for the future adaptability of the module.
