INTRODUCTION
Group work is done to make a task easy and to divide the efforts which are made by the
individual. In group work there is a sense of unity which leads to early completion of a task in a
precise manner. In today’s world there are organisational bodies which are dedicated to prefer
group work for effective work. In this report I have included how I worked with different people
in organised group (Dinh, 2017). In this project also I have covered different learning processes
and tactics in group formation. In this assignment I have also included what problems we faced
during group organisation and how those problems were sorted out using different techniques. In
this report example of working for Aston Martin in a group is taken into consideration. Aston
martin is a British car manufacturing company, which was founded in 1913.
MAIN BODY
Group formation and organisation along with different issues
Group formation is referred to the practice of involving different members in a team to
perform a specific task. As I decided to work for manufacturing process at Aston Martin
plant, I needed a total number of 7 people in my working. In the organisation, the
supervisor of manufacturing company advised me to hire or take skilled and trained
professionals. Now it was a challenge for me to hire skilled workers for my team which
was requiring several processes like recruitment and selection. I preferred to talk with a
consultancy service in London city, that consultancy service helped me in hiring
professionally trained and skilled engineers. The requirement of skilled workers was
fulfilled in just 15 days and group was formed. There was involvement of various issues in
the group formation which were handled by me in a precise manner. Once the group was
formed, all the members were happy with the introduction and induction to the company.
The various issues which came before and after the formation of group are mentioned
below:
Training and development- In order to gain efficiency and effectiveness in the
operations which are related to the company, proper training is required (Driskell,
2018). In my group 4 members were skilled and trained but rest of three members
were not professionally trained to perform operations related to the manufacturing
process of Aston Martin.

Setting goals and objectives- Once after the formation of our group, it was
essential to formulate various goals and objective for the short and long run. I
formulated simple and easy objective at first glance at the marketplace, so that it
becomes easy for the whole group to achieve those objectives.
Performance management- In our group it was essential to perform performance
management in order to achieve effective and efficient results. In order to manage
performance management of different group members, I had chosen to make a
performance sheet. With the help of performance sheet, it was easy for me to
calculate performance of different group members. In the performance of
individuals there were various loopholes and hurdles, so i decided to take the help
of current supervisor of manufacturing process at Aston Martin.
Time management- In our group the main issue which was impacting on
functioning of the whole group was time management. In all the operations and
functioning of our team the proper time management was required (Fair, 2020). In
order to make time management more effective, I preferred to give instructions to
my group members to follow time strictly.
Choice of host organisation and access
In order to carry out different functions related to manufacturing process, I have chosen
Aston Martin Car Company as it is a global company which is also established at the
marketplace. This choice which was made by me was done after analysis of all the major
companies in Britain which were dedicated to manufacture cars. I also took advice of my
colleagues and friends in order to select the best choice from the available options. All people in
my surroundings advised me to select Aston Martin as a car company as it will beneficial for me.
The access to the company was now the major issue for me and my team, I just want to thank
manufacturing supervisor of Aston Martin Car Company for proving access. He also guided me
to learn about various professional tools and techniques to resolve various conflicts. The plant of
company was huge and the opportunity which was provided by Aston Martin to us was major in
sense. Several cars were manufactured with the help of skilled and trained employees; also there
was use of giant machines in the operations. As my team members were trained enough to
handle various operations related to car manufacturing process, they were directly involved in
operations (Gharaveis, 2018). However, whole team faced several issues in the starting of work
