EXECUTIVE SUMMARYProject Summary :-The current project is about the replacement of air conditioning system in 20 storeycommercial building. Regarding the topic of the project, three proposals have been formulatedamong which the most appropriate one was contractor. With an inefficient air conditioningsystem the people in the commercial building have to face problems in their way of working. Background :-Effective cooperation was obtained from the private organisations and consultation ofcertain government authorities were also there. The entire process in which the research wasconducted, proved to be highly compatible in meeting the overall aim of the project. Process :-The information was collected from very authentic sources so that the informationacquired could be analysed in an effective manner. Findings & Conclusion ;-From the findings of the project, it can be concluded that old air conditioning systemsneed to be replaced otherwise they might create problems for the individuals working there. So,manager of the commercial building need to immediately take in consideration contractors forreplacing the system. Recommendation & further action :-From the overall project, it can be concluded that for replacement of air conditioningsystem in the commercial 20 storey building, contractor would be highly beneficial.Furthermore, the contractor's role would be to consistently monitor the air conditioning systemso that is any errors are found, they could be assessed on time. 1

Adding more to this, discussions would also be made upon keeping in mind theenvironment of Won Chai building where the AC replacement has to take place. Meetings willbe organised and discussions will be made with the staff members so that required data andinformation should be completed in proper way. Further all the important points of thediscussions will be noted down and they will be properly recorded so that the while carrying outthe project it can be used in effective way. Each and individual member will be assigned specificjob roles and they will be directed for completing their assigned work so that air conditioningsystem could be replaced without facing many difficulties. There are different activities whichwill be delegated to the team members according to their skills. This will help in completing thetask on time and in the effective manner. Along with this team member will be support eachother in their tough task so that any individual not face any difficulty in completing the task.New ideas and view of group member will be shared in meeting so that new ideas can be get forcompleting the entire project. This building has beenfacing the specific problems of failure in their air conditioning system as a result of which theneed to change the entire system has arisen. As a result the system has become defective therebycausing problems for people working there. Henceforth, replacement of the air conditioningsystem is the prior need of the owners & managers. As result of this, they have requested forreplacement. There is highdemand for high quality space and advanced technical systems so that office could be madeequipped with the advanced technical equipments. Multi-story buildings provide efficientcirculation space, Integration of building services, Column free floor spans and high qualityoffice space for carrying out business activities. Air conditioning system will be replaced byproperly preparing a detailed plan and on the basis of that plans will be made for carrying out thereplacement of the Air conditioning system used in the entity. Large commercial buildings which are operating in the country requires a long period oftime for implanting a new system as the space is more under these buildings. Majority of theCommercial buildings are highly centralized and they contain air conditioning equipments. Thecentral station system for these buildings is connected with the roof and basement. Both thepoints are having advantage in terms of easy utility connections and noise isolation. Earlier inolder commercial buildings mechanical equipments are fitted on the roof and the air systemswere served by a single central handling unit on the roof (Navarro-Esbrí, Mota-Babiloni andBelman-Flores, 2013.). Air conditioning systems which are fitted in the building requires a togenerate a cooling effect. The external pressure and challenges sustained by a building comprise of sun, outdoortemperature and Wind and internal pressures faced by a building comprise of Heat and Moisture,light and pressure from other equipments. There are different types of cooling systems that areused in offices and all the systems are having some advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, itis important to replace the air conditioner system at 20 storey commercial building so that systemcan be improved because of high demand of the high quality space and advanced technicalsystems. There different office in commercial building situated which where it is important toreplace the old air conditioning system. So it is decided that at Commercial building all the oldconditioning system will be replaced. For this purpose detailed information will be gather toidentify the best conditioning system and the way to implement it in building. Proper plan will bemade and detailed information will be gathered in respect to successful implementing the new airconditioning system. (c) Scope of work The project helps for designing an improved air conditioning system in which high techequipments will be used for replacing the existing air conditioning system in the building. Also,adding more to this, care also has to be taken care of such that the newly implied systems are nothindering the comforts of people working in the commercial building of Wan chai. The oldconditioning system is consuming lots of electricity and it is also dangerous because more heat isproduced and it cannot take load of high voltage due to which there are chances of damage canbe take place. This lead to increase in cost while in commercial building it is important tomaintain electricity items and replaced it over a time. Therefore, step is taken to replace the oldair conditioner system with new one which is more effective in term of cooling and consumingelectricity. This initiative will help for saving the cost of electricity and with this working area inthe commercial building will be replaced (Leventis, Shah and McNeil, 2015). Evidences will be collected for the design of the project and on the basis of that entire airconditioning replacement system will be executed. Details about company structure chart anddetailed information about the qualification of the personnel should also be determined. Inaddition to that a proper management plan will be prepared and details about how the project willbe managed will be determined so that the project should be completed on due time interval(Zhao and Tan, 2015.). In this it is also required that detailed description about the riskmanagement plan should be done so that the risk areas associated with the business should behighlighted. With this legal requirement also needs to be identified so that all the replacingshould be done as per the legal and lawful manner. In addition to that the agency to whom thecontract will be given for replacing the air conditioning system will be identified and they will begiven clear instructions for designing the entire system. Furthermore, contract will be given tocompany who will provide high quality services at reasonable price. Gantt chart will be preparedso that each task can be divided according to its cost and time. By doing this it becomes easy toidentify the critical task and it will be completed first. Proper information of the newconditioning system will be inspect first in term of its quality, specification, description of theproduct so that any damage or any poor quality conditioning system is not implemented. 1. Design requirements:-The responsibility of appropriately and correctly matching all the constituent componentsof the main air conditioning system and also incorporating other installation for ensuring thatinstalled ones have satisfied all requirements concerning the performances. The architect needsto be submitted all the relevant and authentic calculations & information for the purpose ofobtaining approval. 2. Air conditioning system:-2.2.1General Requirements : The requirements within this particular Sectionshould be strictly in conformation with all provision concerning contracts with aninclusion of supplementary_&-general conditions, contract based conditions, andthe basic involved drawings related to the contract.2.2.2Scope : Microprocessor controlling system is going to be provided alongwith compressor that would be time-screwed.
