This is due to the reason that employees in thepresent business scenario have various portals or options to generate word of mouth about theiremployers. Thus, in the present competitive business scenario, contemporary businessorganizations have to maintain positive impression and goodwill in the market to attract morenumber of audiences (Esen 2012). Thus, in case of generation of negative word of mouth by theemployees, the organization will face negative implications in marketing and selling theirproducts. Moreover, in the present business state of affairs, emergence of the social media ishaving both merits as well as demerits for the business organizations (Aral, Dellarocas andGodes 2013). This is due to the reason that, emergence of social media helps in gathering thefeedback from the employees as well as the customers. It helps the organizations in determiningthe requirement of the employees.However, on the other hand, in case of any negative feedback being shared by theemployees in their social media page, the organizations will face huge issues in maintaining theirgoodwill and reputation in the market. This is due to the reason that, the feedback being sharedby the employees will be shared and reposted by hundreds others and it will reach to millions ofpeople including the potential customers of the organizations (Hon, Chan and Lu 2013). Thus,the potential customers will have negative impression about the organizations and it will affectthe business potentiality of them.
