2. PROJECT OVERVIEW
It is identified that before the establishment of Globex, Riverina Agriculture and lifestyle
show was founded in the year 2010. The RAIS is one of the 3-day events that are generally
held in the month of November and it is found that the event mainly displays local business,
agricultural equipment, farmers, suppliers as well as various types of lifestyle products. It is
analyzed that in order to maximize the taking of gate, the event is dependent on ticket sale.
Presently all the tickets are generally purchased at the gate of RAIS which created number
of issues as well as challenges. When the crowds are in large number and the procedure of
ticket sale is low, then people generally slip through the gate. In order to avoid this type of
problems as well as for maximizing the sale of tickets the organization wants to implement
online ticketing system. It is found that due to the implementation of online ticketing system
will be quite helpful in reducing the queue at the gates as well as ticket invasion.
3. PROJECT DESCRIPTION & OBJECTIVES.
The implementation of online ticketing system in RAIS helps in replacing the current
manual system of ticketing. It is identified that the implementation of computer-based
system not only helps in reducing the queue at the show gate but also assist in increasing
the number of ticket sales. The implemented system would be helpful in enabling patrons
for accessing tickets from any online platform as well as mobile devices. Due to this, the
people have to scan their ticket at the gate before entry and thus they cannot enter without
having ticket. In addition to this, the tickets are categorized into number of categories like
single day passes, kid passes, student passes and more. This will be quite helpful for the
people as they do not have to stand in the queue for long time and they can book their
tickets online as per their preferences.
The main objectives of the project are as follows:
To implement an online ticketing system for replacing the manual system of ticketing
To design the system in such a way that it can be helpful in enabling patrons for
accessing ticketing sale from any online platform.
To improve as well as maximize the sales of the ticket
