INTRODUCTIONProject management is an important activity that involves a number of function to beperformed like planning, controlling coordinating etc. All these activities are carried out so thatgoals of distinct projects are achieved. It is a temporary activity as it ends with the completion ofproject. TSK Bearings Ltd is a company specialising in the design and manufacture of industrialbearings for the automotive industry (Anantatmula, 2010). Due to huge competition in this sectorthis company is planning to expand its total scale of operations in Asia. The following report willdiscuss the process of project management and problems associated with managing life cycle ofthe project for refereed organisation.TASK 11 Different types of projectsProject: - A project is that which is a planned set of interrelated things and alsosometimes there are some dependent tasks are there and has to be executed with over a period oftime taken in consideration with certain resources and different limitations of working.Moreover, activity and task has to be completed on time to achieve the specific goals in bettermanner. In an organisation there are different types of projects which are carried out in order toachieve the common objectives. In the given case study 2 the variety of projects which areidentified are as follows:Construction projects – It is that type of project which involves huge investment and oncompleting the same a fixed asset is prepared which further gives long term benefits to business.A site is chosen where where the work is carried out and contractor has to visit the same placeagain and again to monitor the work in progress. Roles and responsibilities of project manager iscrucial in this as due to high investment degree of risk involved is also high. Maintenance ofgood quality is important as only than long term returns can be assured. In the given case studyof TSK bearings limited budget is declared and accordingly the cash is used in the differentactivities need to be performed. Manufacturing projects – These are the projects aims of which is to produce tools andequipments and machineries which are required to carry out the daily operations of business. Thefinal product is produced using these equipments (Andersen, 2010). TSK bearings limited needs1

to invest much in getting different technologies machinery so that it can start the manufacturingprocess in Asia.Management projects – It is specific type of project which is carried out in case whencompany wish to relocate or develop their existing site to anew geographical area. At the timewhen a new site is developed various activities need to be performed. When expansion to Asiawill be done by the refereed organisation it will also get involved in this type of project variety(Block, 2016). 2 Scope managementScope of project includes different work that needs to be done in order to deliver a finalproduct or service. It includes all those factors tat determine the success of any business project.Scope statement of the given study is given below:Product scope description – The given project is prepared for TSK bearings which is amanufacturer of automotive products. Due to global competition the refereed organisation wishto explore new markets which can offer greater demand so that more revenues can be generated.Although firm can explore with having marketing scenario which can help in attracting more andmore customers towards them.Deliverables – As the given project is of high budget it cannot be complete in one day.Due to involvement of high risk it is important that evaluation of same is done in regularintervals. Project exclusions – It is difficult to cover all the aspects of a project when work iscarried out on such a large scale.Constraints – It is difficult to achieve the exactly same results as an organisation wish to.It is due to the reason that there are changes in the external environment which has its indirectinfluence on the company’s performance (Cavallo, 2010). Assumptions – As the business environment is dynamic in nature some decision aretaken on assumptions that things will remain same. In the given case study assumptions are takenthat the selected market will offer higher market opportunities and will help TSK limited inmaking stand in the global competition.3 Project Gantt chart and identification of critical pathCompleting a project is a complex activity as a range of actions needs to taken.
