INTRODUCTION
Communication can be referred as the transfer of feelings, facts, ideas, emotions from
one person to another person orally or in written form (Conrad and Newberry, 2012). The
following report is based upon the importance of communication in leadership and management
in Pepsico. Further it will provide the negative impacts of poor communication in an
organisation and its importance to leaders and managers that how they can make use of it to
achieve the business objectives.
MAIN BODY
For a company to achieve their goals, it is important to communicate well not only
internally but also externally. The importance of internal communication is as under:
Better communication with employees will make clear about the goal of Pepsico and
their contribution towards the achievement in a motivated and confident way (Goetsch
and Davis, 2014).
The importance of external communication is discussed as under:
Along with Sales, Public Relations are also important for Pepsico's success. By properly
communicating externally with people, it can strengthen its relation with them, informing
about its way of working, contribution to environment will create a positive image of
Pepsico.
For example, the ad in which tensions mounting between protesters and police solves by opening
the Pepsi for a cop, this ad does not make any sense at all as it affected social issues and hence
resulted in the negative consequences for Pepsico (Lolli, 2013).
Importance of Leaders and Managers to Communication:
It is important for leaders and managers to communicate effectively with their followers
and employees as this increase their collaboration such as by discussion, and transferring
ideas which provides a proper way to their working to them (The Importance of
Communication Between Managers and Their Team, 2018).
For example, for making the inter-departmental communication more effective, Pepsico has also
added the capacity of e mail so that supply chain and scoreboard tools can be rebuild and will
help employees in assessing easily (Men, 2014)--+. It will increase the speed of work and helps
in achieving the departmental objectives.

CONLCUSION
It can be summarised from the above data that the success of an organisation is also
dependent upon communication along with leadership and management. So for achieving the
organisational objectives it is necessary to transfer information properly and effectively.
