used to fulfil the needs of material, goods, utilise and services. In a simple word it can be said
that green procurement is an activity which conducted by business enterprise with minimal
adverse environmental impact (Shen, Zhang and Long, 2010) It incorporates environmental
concerns and individual health by produce high quality of product and services in a competitive
price. The following project report provides a depth knowledge and understanding about the
green procurement strategies and actions employed by the Tesco. In addition to this various
green procurement strategies will also discus in this research proposal. Tesco is a British
multinational grocery and general merchant retailer. It is the third largest retailer in the world
measured by the profit. It deals with various customer product like books, clothing, furniture,
toys, software, internet services etc.

In order to conduct the research for attain the objective, investigator have to sue various methods
of research which are as follows-
ļ· Research philosophy: Research philosophy is one of the major part of the research
philosophy which aid in attaining the objective of the research. There are major two type
of research philosophy that is interpretivism and positivism. In the following research
proposal, investigator will use possitivism philosophy by which investigator can consider
on the objective of reserch.
ļ· Research approach- There are two type of research approach that is inductive and
deductive. In the following research inductive approach will use because whole research
is based on the research questions (Mackey and Gass, 2015)
ļ· Research techniques- There are two type of research techniques that is qualitative and
quantitative. In the following research study, qualitative research technique will use
through which it will become easy to evaluate the collected information. In the following
research project, investigator will use the qualitative research technique along with
primary and secondary data. In order to attain the objective of analyse the green
procurement strategy with in Tesco company, investigator will use qualitative research
method.

this research both method will use. In the context of primary research, scholar will use
survey method and in the context of secondary research books, journals, websites,

data, investigator will use online website, company profile, books, journal etc to acquire
the knowledge about the green procurement.
