responsibility which means that there are are some obligations which a company face to fulfil the
objectives of society. There are certain tools and techniques which are being utilised for
resolving the issues (Baiden and Price, 2011). Company chosen for this report is Waitrose which
is a multinational company dealing in foot retail across the globe and it has been established in
1904. There are certain things which are being discussed like data collection techniques which
will be used to gather the appropriate data for carrying out essential activities.

It is highly essential for an organisation to adopt and carry out CSR activities so that
goodwill can be attained in effectual manner. Management of Waitrose have to utilise this in
order to attract the customers for gaining market share in an effectual manner. For a big company
it is not easy to apply CSR activities but they can help the society in order to uplift the social and
economical factors (Bakker and et. al., 2011). Therefore, it is highly essential to apply CSR
activities to gain sustainability.

Background of the project:
In this kind of approach, sustainability mainly aids out in reducing and removing the
negative factors and replacing them with the positive ones. CSR activities mainly enables an
organisation to deal with dynamic environment and brings sustainability to aims and objectives
so that competitive advantage can be gained. By applying this kind of techniques in Waitrose,
leading position can be taken in marketplace (Beringer, Jonas and Kock, 2013). This in turn
provides advantages to the social and economical factors in effectual manner for upraising the
society standards.

associated with them (Chang, Walters and Wills, 2013). Highly essential elements are described
below: Cost: It is highly important to have this factors in order to make a project successful.
Waitrose wants to apply CSR plan and for that they will be needing a million Euro for
making it effective while implementing. Scope: There are certain situations while applying plan and those needs to be deal so
that actual benefit can be gained. Waitrose needs to apply these in order to atatin long
term goals. Time: There is certain time period which is being required to complete the project and
that time has to be kept in written records so that smooth flow can be attained. Quality: There are certain qualities which needs to be maintained. For such kind of
relation, measurement has to be taken by Waitrose so as to provide benefits to the

The main advantage of this kind of approach is to simplify the work and thus enable to perform

manner so that it can be attained in better manner. As management has to consult either of

approach for each and every organisation along with the society. For a company, it can lead them
to create goodwill along with the society so that they can solve the issues and it can be enable
them to forecast the issues which are being futuristic. Apart from that, there are various concepts
through which the knowledge can be gained. This will in turn will improve my pattern of
working and analytical skills for drawing a vital conclusion. There are certain things which I
have learnt that conducting research and completing it on time for the project. Apart from that,
while making this project, my learning skills and data analysis skills has also been enhanced
within myself and number of resources can be gained. The scrutiny that has been accomplished
has upheld me to apprehend various viewpoints that are known with CSR exercises. I come to
