accordingly. In context with Trailfinders Ltd. this travel agency has
run its business in many countries. It offers amazing tour packages to
attract targeted audience (business-class and upper-class) and gain
their retention for longer period. For this purpose, it has made
regular investment in technologies to improve efficiencies of
business.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

Research Aim : To analyse the impact of technology on travel and

To access the concept of emerging technology in travel industries.
To examine the impact of introducing latest technology within
business for Trailfinders Ltd.
To determine the benefits of technology for Trailfinders Ltd.
To ascertain the barriers which may arise while implementation of
technologies within business.
EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES
In context with dynamics of tourism market, business of
organisations are becoming more wide at global scale. In order to
survive and thrive in such marketplace, where competition is high, it
is crucial for travel industries to concern on bringing innovation in
product and services. Therefore, without investment in technologies
on regular manner, a company cannot gain progress and performance
of its business. In this regard, stage of business for travel industries,
is being set for emerging technologies. It includes intelligent
chatbots, virtual reality, internet of things, cloud technology, mobile
apps and more. These technologies act as key drivers in travel
sectors for enhancing efficiencies of operational activities. In context
with Trailfinders, by interacting with customers through social
media, smartphone applications and artificial intelligence, it has
gained advantage to satisfy and retain tourists for longer period.

to make travel experience more simpler as well as enjoyable. It has
also given rise to develop tremendous innovation in holiday
packages and services. As per regard with Trailfinders, it has

customers. It has to introduce latest technologies within business. It

But it creates various barriers within business for implementing
latest technologies. It includes limited resources (finance and skilled
labours), validation of investment, budget allocation and more. As
for introducing technologies, Trailfinders have to arrange proper
resources first which seems to be a major challenge. Along with this,
managers also need to provide training to workers so that they can
become familiar with new techniques. This requires much finance
and time which seems to be another issue. Similarly, concern on
validation of investment i.e. whether investigating in particular
technology will prove beneficial for generating profitability or not.

advantage in getting satisfied customers. By using
