In context of Corinthia Hotel, this hotel sector ensure that staffemployed by the management of this organisation must be so effective that a good customerexperience is provided to guests. This will help in building the reputation and good image of thecompany in market. The research given below is based on the “Employee selection”. The selection process of acompany will help in comparing candidates on the basis of skills, capabilities, experience, workattitude, etc. in case of Corinthia Hotel, London it is having problem with staff as they are notachieving their targets on time and they are not able to attract customers. Rationale for the research Employee selection is a process used for hiring the right candidate who can work in thecompany. This is defined as the process or procedure that helps in matching organisationaldemands with knowledge and skills of the candidate. Organisations will face less problems inworking if they have a good employee selection process (Inkinen, 2016). This topic is chosen forthe research as this will help to analyse the importance of recruitment and selection within anorganisation. In this research the importance of employee selection will be analysed and this willhelp in understanding the concept of employee selection process of hospitality sector. Chapter 2: Literature Review Concept of recruitment and selection processAccording to (Cascio, 2015), Human Resource Management play important role in theorganisation and there are certain techniques that are used by the HR of the company. Theimportant part of the company is recruitment and selection, the recruitment process may beinternal and external and now a day interviews are conducted online. Any management of thecompany revolves around recruitment and failure in recruitment may leads to difficulties andbarrier issues for the company. There other approaches to selection which includes several grouptask, role play, interview etc. Selection of right candidate for the right job is necessary part of theHR, recruitments are basically done through interviews and setting certain parameters. Themanagement of the company have to set some polices and rules and regulations with concernwith employees, Because for every employees there should be goals and targets so that they canwork hard to make the organisation in success (Rothwell, Hohne and King, 2018). For thecompany employees are the asset so the main duties of HR is make the working environmentmotivated. Company has to focus on the recruitment process then only skilled employees andlabour can be selected at the right place of jobs.
