Introduction
Talent management can be stated as a continuous process within the organisation
that includes attracting and retaining employees with high quality, developing
their knowledge base and skills and constantly motivating them so that
performance of company can be enhance. It is very important for each
organisation to ensure effective talent management process in the company so that
high quality talent can be retain.

Research aim
The main aim in relation to this particular study is "To assess different strategies
associated with talent management and its impact on organizational performance. A
case study on Marks & Spencer."

Research objectives
The key objectives in relation to this specific study are provided below:
1. To analyse the talent management concept on Marks & Spencer.
2. To determine different talent management strategies that can be employed at
different levels.
3. To assess the impact of employing talent management strategies to improve
organisational performance at Marks & Spencer.

Research questions
The research questions associated with this investigation are as follows:
1. What is the concept of talent management in relation to Marks & Spencer?
2. Which can be the different talent management strategies that can be employed
at different levels?
3. What is the impact of employing talent management strategies to improve
organisational performance at Marks & Spencer?

Research methodology
Research philosophy – The philosophies use in research study includes positivism and
interpretivism.
Research approach – Deductive and inductive are the 2 approaches of research study
among which Deductive research approach is selected by investigator.
Research strategy - Case study, experimental research, quantitative survey method,
interview method, systematic literature review etc. are the different research strategies
which can be utilised by researcher in performing investigation.

Data analysis and interpretation
Interpretation: According to the above chart, it can be
interpreted that out of 30 respondents, 28 respondents said
that they have awareness of talent management concept in
Marks and Spencer and remaining two respondents said that
they have no awareness about the concept.

Interpretation: The above chart depicts that according to 25 out
of 30 respondents, the talent management procedure impacts
positively on profitability and performance of Marks and Spencer in
market, three respondents said that it impacts negatively and
according to remaining two respondents, the process of talent
management has no impact on the performance and profitability of

Conclusion
It has been concluded that management of an organisation should emphasize on
managing talent in the company as this provides various benefit to it in terms of
improved employee engagement, enable multi skill building, succession planning
etc. Apart from this, by providing proper rewards and recognition and continuous
growth and development opportunities to employees, manager can retain them for
long term in the organisation.

Recommendations
In order to ensure this, there are some recommendations provided to manager of company which help
in retaining the talent. Some of the recommendations are provided below -
1. The organisation should provide its employees with constant development opportunities so that
they can enable to improve their skills and competencies and perform their roles and responsibilities
effectively towards accomplishment of organisational goals.
2. In addition to this, the organisation should reward and recognise employees for the work they
have done in proper way so that they get motivated and emphasize more on towards accomplishment of
organisational goals.

Reflection
By the assistance of this study, I was able to learnt many things. I not only get knowledge
regarding the topic but also learnt about various research methodologies as well as the way to
perform a research systematically and ensure successful completion of its aim and objectives.
Apart from this, performing this research also improved my various skills like communication
and team working. In this study, I made use of quantitative research method in which both
primary and secondary data was collected and analysed.
