Rationale of Research
Technology has transformed the landscape of travel and
tourism industry globally and it has become one of the most
popular topics. The reason for selection of topic Information
and Communication Technology (ICT) is effective and high
speed infrastructure of ICT as well as software application in
the travel and tourism industry. Thus, with studying this topic,
research will gain knowledge and understanding of benefits
and challenges of ICT. Further, the personal interest of
researcher in this particular topic is also another reason for
selecting the topic as scholar is highly interested in identifying

technology plays a key role in the growth and development of
