RESEARCH PROPOSAL
Background
Employee has been considered as the important part that develops the organizational
productivity. In the recent area, employees are treated as valuable asset of business because
without them company cannot meet its goal. Employee motivation turned out to major concern
in order to have increase in profit along with customer satisfaction. Companies try to obtain
achievement of goals and objective by providing employee to various award session in order to
have proper training and development which has been considered as the main assets of required
organization. The motivation process is identified as the process through which companies make
its workers positive and ensure that they work hard in business and contribute in obtaining
business goal. This is turning out to be business strategy because this helps in retaining talent and
managing business operations in significant manner.
There are many companies where people feel over burden because of high workload in such
condition they fail to pay close attention over business activities which create problem for the
companies in managing competition and sustain in market for longer duration. Motivated
workforce aids in getting innovative ideas and handling business operations in significant
manner. If people are not happy with culture, then it may make them negative and they may
think to leave job soon. Motivated staff do not resist and they support the firm in every
condition. Productivity of the firm is highly depended upon the employee firm has. If workers
are paying attention on business activities then firm can gain competitive advantage and can keep
its consumers satisfied towards business unit

Problem statement
Recently staff turnover has become the major problem for Toyota, people do not like to stay in
firm for longer duration because of high work pressure and poor incentives. This discourage
people and they think to join other firm. By this way they fail to paying attention on business
which affect the operations of the organisation to great extent. This has become the major
problem in business unit hence there is requirement to motivate staff so that people like to work
hard and support management. This thing can help the firm in generating more profit in the firm
and minimising the operational errors. The company is trying to have the major focus on the
development to full potentiality in order to have proper development with high quality with

minimum risk. So that the company can pay major attention to customer in providing satisfaction
and generation of profit and revenue of the government. The company do surveys, analysis of
the findings, and they come up with the solutions and actions toward the survey questions. But,
unfortunately, it is not a successful process and usually they don’t get the expected outcome.
Competition is high hence firms have to ensure to improve its production ability so that it can
sustain in market for longer duration, but if enterprise is unable to manage productivity to meet
demand then kit may create problem for all business. Employee motivation ca n help companies
in improving the staff retention and productivity at workplace.

To analyse the relationship between employee motivation and organization productivity-
a case study on Toyota.

To evaluate the importance of employee motivation in organization performance.
To study the impact of various approaches of employee motivation on Toyota
productivity.
To investigate the current motivation practices influencing employee performer.
To evaluate different challenges faced by organization in motivating employees.

Rationale
The topics have been chosen as it has turned out to be important for the development of
the organization. This is interest area to research because employee motivation has become the
major problem in many companies. Apart from this, researcher has studies post graduation in
human resource management hence individual has better knowledge about this field. In addition,
many car companies are facing issue related to productivity, sometimes they fail to get skilled
people and sometimes fail to manage or retain talent. Hence this is a burning issues which needs
to be study.
