INTRODUCTIONTour operations management industry is one of the emerging firm because of its positivetrends in travel and tourism. Thus, Resort is the internal part of hospitality and lodging industry.Under this, there are differed kinds of manager within hotel and resorts. The each thing is need tobe taken in systematically mode and the activities under this as are food and beverages,maintenance and department activities so all things can be carried expertly. In addition to this,managers plays vital role in terms to meet out the requirements of customers. In this term it isessential to make proper coordination between co-person of resort so that each thing can becarried out effectively (Albaladejo-Pina and Díaz-Delfa, 2009). The present assignment willoutline the activities of firm as are Thomas Cook, it is engaged in travelling services and providegood facilities to its customers in UK. The main aim behind carry out with assignment is to havedetailed knowledge about the various function so that resort manager can able to performed it.The success of this depends on the long term retention of customer to the firm. TASK 11.1 Description on differed function of operations of resort.The function of resort management will be inclusive of the things as are contract,meetings, health and safety legislation and laws. In this, the employees are need to ensure aboutfacilities as health and safety at workplace. The provision in relation to accident recovery all areneed to be properly aware by the resort manager so that he is able to undertake business activities(Airey and Chong, 2010). It is the responsibility of resort manager is to take initiatives in termsto investigate the proper arrangement for health and safety of employers. In this way, there arediffered function of resort manager towards the customers and this as are- Coordination and handling various stakeholders- it is one of the crucial step in order tomanager the activities which will be able to meet the requirement of supplier and vendor. Thebasic amenities to the customer are need to be provided as per the class of customers. They areresponsible to take feedback from the customer about the facilities' so that there if it is essentialthan effective measures in term to improve the quality can be carried out (Alegre and Pou,2006). Thus, it can be said that the proper coordination and effective handling will be helpful tomanage the activities of the firm. 1

Under this term it can be said that various departments are need tofollow they business activities effectively so that they are able to meet up the need of thecustomer’s in the market. Health and safety issues- In this all the things are need to be abide by the health and safety act.Thus, services with regard to sanitation, living condition and food and beverage facilities areneed to be maintained and followed. In this all the issues are need to be resolved as per theactivities of travel and tourism (Choi and Sirakaya, 2006). In addition to this, it is essential thatfirm need to follow all the guidelines relates to health and safety of the employees. Providing high quality of service and good- in this term it can be said that the organisation isresponsible to provide the high quality of services to its customers. In addition to this it can besaid that it is the responsibility of the hotels' management to maintain the quality services so thatcustomer’s can be attracted towards the operational activities (Cazcarro, Hoekstra and Chóliz,2014). High technological equipment- The effective technological bring the innovative procedure infirm. By using of Morden equipment there can be improvement in the services and the thing canbe done in the speed manner as online promotion, proper communication and booking facilitiesso that all things can be carried out effectively. The technology are having great impact on theoperational function of firm. Improvement measure in productivity of labour- In this term it can be said that employeeswho are performing their activities are need to be trained and well performed their businessactivities in the filed as are with skills in relation to technical equipment, customer handlingprocedure.
