INTRODUCTION
Retail is stated as process which includes selling of product and services to the targeted
customers with the help of various channels of distributions (Ahmed, 2015). By this huge
revenue is maximized which is a positive mark for the business in the competitive era. Retail
sector mainly sell out finished goods to their potential client in order to come up with huge
return with capital. However fashion retail is explained as, acting as third party among
manufacturer and customers. The set goals and objectives can be attained in the specified time
duration because with the help of fashion retailing sales ratio raises tremendously. For the
completion of the assignment Zara is selected. It specializes in fast fashion and goods which
covers accessories, shoes, clothing, perfumes etc. In the year 1975 it came into existence by
Amancio Ortega and Rosalia Mera. This assignment covers, concept of retail and fashion retail.
Macro and micro environmental factors are identified which are impacting fashion retail in the
global market.

In the competitive era Zara is well-known as largest fashion group. This belongs to
Inditex that is successful fashion group across the globe. Zara stores sell out men's , women's
and children's clothing. On the other hand distinguish brands are owned by fashion groups like,
Oysho, Zara home, Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Uterque and many more. This Spanish company is
offering various product and services such as, swimwear, perfumes, clothing, accessories, shoes
and so on. There are 10,000 stores across the globe. With their effective distribution channels
emerging needs and wants of the customers are meet in the specified time duration. Additionally,
the revenue generated in the year 2018 is $18.9 billion annually.
In the year 1988, with the help of Porto and Portugal Zara started its expansion on
international level. However, this business administration is able to enter the market of United
States and France in the year 1990. The support of Porto and Portugal has helped Zara to
accomplish its set goals and objectives in the set deadline (Bennett, 2015). Their effective team
members has helped Zara to come up with online boutique on September 2010 and it's websites
began in Portugal, Germany, UK, Spain and France. Zara is in the leading position among its
