INTRODUCTIONHUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: It is modern approach for maintaining peopleat the workplace, it develops the people skills through training and development which increasesthe overall performance of organisation(Noe and et.al., 2017). Importance of HRM in companyis key factor for the growth of the organisation. For quality work by the employee the HRMdepartment motivates the employee for the company, productivity and profit of the companyincreases. HRM department recruits candidate who can easily adopt the changes to changeaccording to the organisation requirement. HRM department is important for the upbringing andincreasing the corporate image in the market with help of company social and moral behaviour inthe good manner. Chocolate presence manufactures chocolate which rapidly expanding in theNorth Yorkshire in U.K. The company provides handmade chocolates with greeting cards. Thecompany tries to produce innovative product for its customers. In this report the study will bebased on the HRM purpose and importance in the company. The study will be on HRMdecisions influence the organisation performance. Further the study will give lights on themethods of job advertising benefits and drawbacks in company.TASK 1A IMPORTANCE AND PURPOSE OF HR FUNCTIONHRM refers to hire, deploy, recruitment of employees in the company and managementof employee performance, giving training, reward, appraisal, through which the employees getmotivated to work efficiently in the organisation. The different functions of HRM are:RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION: it is a process in which the company identifies the andfill the vacant job position in the organisation(Bratton and Gold, 2017). Recruitment meansanalysing job requirement, job vacancy, application, screening, short listing and selecting rightcandidate. selection is the process in which the candidates are being selected who matches to thejob position in the company, in other words it means selecting the best candidate. The purposeand importance of function in chocolate presence is to recruit the employee who can able tobring innovative ideas for the company and can help the company to expand and capture largesection of the market.REWARD: the most important function in the company is to give reward to the employee.Reward motivates the employee to work hard and give their best in the organisation. of the function in the company is to motivate the employee which will lead to increase theoverall performance of the organisation through which the company will be able to achieve itsfuture goal(Cascio, 2015).PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL: inthis process the company assess the performance of theemployee of the basis of period of job done by the employee in the company. It is an importantpart of the company to know about the employee capabilities, skills and talent in the particularjob position. The purpose of the performance appraisal in company is to know the employee andmotivate on the basis of performance. The company can promote employee on the basis of skillsand talent to attend meeting with foreign clients which will lead to increase the organisationimage and able to grow the business.TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT: this function is important part for in the company foremployee overall development in their particular job position with the help of training theemployee increases its skills to understand the organisation working culture. when employee getsto know it increases the productivity and profit of the chocolate presence company throughwhich the purpose of the company gets fulfilled(Sparrow, Brewster and Chung, 2016). Thecompany purpose to increase its size and nature fulfilled with proper planning to give training toits employees.B SELECTION METHOD STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESS Selection method refers to choosing the best candidate for the company out of the jobapplication that company received. In this method the company selects the right person for theright job. In chocolate presence company the candidates are selected on the basis of taking testhome made assistance in maths and English. If the candidate able to qualify with 50% marksthan they get selected. Through this the company gets benefits in uniformly working of theorganisation by following proper process of selection. Drawback is the company is nota able toget skill and talented candidate as required by the company because it does not assess thecandidate properly. If candidate gets selected in probationary period, home made assessment isunrealistic and less reliable method for the company.
