INTRODUCTIONGlobalisation has grown because of advancement in communication and technology. Dueto growth of ideas, culture and international trade, global interaction increases. It is procedure ofintegration and interaction between companies, government and people. It consists of economicresources of capital, data, technology, goods and services. International Monetary Fund (IMF)defined globalisation into four aspects such as capital and investment movements, disseminationof knowledge, trade and transactions, migration and movement of people (Ariely, 2012). It isvery important for organisation to move with current trends and work accordingly. The givenproject is based on John Lewis which was founded in 1864 at United Kingdom which has a chainof department stores and dealing in clothes, furniture, jewellery etc. John Lewis Partnership hasbeen created by Spedan Lewis. In this assignment, there is discussion about positive impact ofglobalisation, business functions, plan, aims and objectives. The methodology and datacollection used by company along with recommendation and conclusion.Positive impact of Globalization to the businesses in the UKThe growth in globalisation has impacted business in positive way. It has helped inincreasing competition where foreign investment flowing in countries and economies of scalerises due to large scale production. Apart from this, it has impacted concern in three positiveways which are discussed below:Economic Impact Globalisation has increased interdependence and integration of global economy. Thereare different economic factors that creates positive impact on company which are as following: Increased Competition- Due to globalisation, there is increase in competition at companyrelated with cost, target markets, product and service. As it is beneficial for organisation becauseit need to provide high quality products at relevant price that can be afford by people. Nowadayscustomers are ready to pay for good quality that affect economic condition of organisationpositively.Increased Trade- Globalisation creates opportunities for companies to operate businessin different countries (Coker, 2014). For example, John Lewis can also operate businessinternationally which assist in increasing sales, trade and profit by providing high qualityproducts to consumers.Cultural Impact

Culture is regarded as knowledge, beliefs, attitudes, religions, characteristics that isshared by number of people or society. It is also referred as work and life of families, personsand societies (Cooke, 2012). Globalisation helps in creating positive impact on all companies.For example, people of Pakistan prefer long and body covered dresses to wear if companyprovides according to their need then it can easily survive and earn high profits. This helps increating positive impact on business and economy of country.Ethical ImpactIn order to run business ethically and properly, it need to follow rules and regulation ofthat country. Due to globalisation many company expand business in different countries byfollowing their legal requirements. For example, Lewis can operates concern internationally inlegal manner by following rules and regulation of that particular countries then no one can createillegal barriers against it. In order to getsuccess, it is deciding to operate business globally which enhance large profits and survival. Thepositive impact to different business functions are as follows: OperationsThe operation department is connected with all other departments of company in order tohave proper knowledge regarding all function which are important (Dunning, 2014).Globalisation creates positive impact on John Lewis because it operates business in differentcountries in order to identify customer needs and work accordingly.
