INTRODUCTION
Skill audit can be referred as the process which is being used to identify the gap in the
personal skills and knowledge which is needed to grow for the future development. And personal
development planning is being done on the basis of the audit that what skills are needed to be
improve and what resources can be used. This is a reflection report which will help to understand
and identify the skills needed in the group activity of the fundraising for the Brain Tumour
charity. Through this evaluation of the individual development is going to be done. Reflection
will be given on the group exercise with the help of the Gibbs reflection model. Further more
Personal development plan will be created to develop the required skills and knowledge.
MAIN BODY
I have participated in the group exercise with the n umber of team members in the
Fundraising for the Brain Tumour charity to support the children, young people and their
families who are affected by the brain tumour and also provide information to them regarding
prevention from the brain tumour. In this activity, we need to identify and set ideas to collect the
fund from the people, set the target and time how much amount we need to collect and in what
time (Griffiths, 2016). This group activity helped me to identify the weak skills of mine which I
need to work on, that can help me to my further development in the future. While performing
this group exercise I had to face some problem with my team members like time management,
team work etc. which was some time creating problem to perform the task effectively to raise the
fund for the Brain tumour.
Through the formative group exercise with the group member of the fundraising for the
brain tumour I have identified that I have good communication skill but with this I need to have
confidence as well. For example, to gain the fund from the people, need to tell them information
regarding the fund for what we are collecting the fund and also give them information about the
prevention from the brain tumour, in had clearly convey the message but when need to give the
detailed and long information some time I was facing problem of fumble in my communication
and I failed to give them detail information regarding the brain tumour (Jackson and Wilton,
2016). This helped me to identify that I have good communication skill but simultaneously need
to have confidence level also which will make my communication more effective. This will be
helpful for the future development of mine. In this situation in have contributed to convey the
message about the Brain tumour funding to the people specially to the teenagers and young

people, and other team members supported me to give detailed information to the people when I
was fumble, this helped a lot to raise the fund for the Brain tumour charity.
In this group activity, I have examined that, I have weak planning skill. This created the
problem to create plan and strategies to collect fund from the people for the brain tumour charity.
This cause lack of participation of mine in the planning activity to raise fund (Cottrell, 2015). For
example, all the team members need to set plan for, how we are going to collect the fund and
from what resource, locations, which person go to which location, ideas to raise fund how we
could influence the different people like teenagers, young people etc. in all this setting plan I
have lack contributed myself. I have analysed that I need to be improved my planning skills
which will helpful in the future as well, like in the future employability. I analysed that in this
group activity and setting plan I have contributed less as compare to the other group members if I
was good at the planning skill then group members might have more resources, planning could
be more effective. But other group member contributed a lot and build an effective planning, this
had helped us to collect more resources (Cheshire, 2016). We divided the group members to go
in couple and try to influence people to give for the charity.
I have also evaluated that my time management skill is weak. For example, I can not able
to manage the time and make time to the charitable group activity to collect fund. In this all the
group members had decided to meet up at 5:00 in the evening to perform the group activity. But
I reached late at the decided location and all the activity got imbalanced and the task to collect
fund started late. This cause, group members got the minimum time to collect fund for the
charity else when I reached on time then we could also collect more fund for the charity. This is
happened because of my poor punctuality. I have analysed that I need to improve my time
management skills and need to be punctual in the daily life. For this I will have to do proper
planning for all my works, daily routine, school timing and other activities (McLean, 2019). This
will help me to be punctual in the daily life to get extra time for the activities. This will not help
me only in my daily life but also help me the employability in the future, if I go to the interview
and any work need to reach on time. I have evaluated that, I have contributed in the collecting
the fund but not through time management skill. But all the group members were on time the
contributed a lot but only because of me activity get started late and resultant we could not able
to collect more fund for the brain tumour charity
.

While performing in the group activity with the number of group members, I have
examined that, I have good team working skill which helped me to perform with the different
kind of the team members with having the different attitude, thinking and opinion. For example,
as the in the group of the different people,
having different attitude, perceptions and opinion all have different style top do their work
(Anderson, 2016). As this helped the group to research different resource to perform the task and
activity to raise the fund for the brain tumour charity. But this also creates conflict problem in the
group, as all the members wants their idea must be considered and the want to put them first.
Even they do not respect their fellows opinion. In this situation I managed the team and also tried
to influence them to respect each other and follow that strategy and plan which is best for all. I
coordinate with the team members and respect their view and reached to the end conclusion. I
felt that, this team working skill will help me in the future as well in the team working task, and
in the employment level when I get the project in team. I have analysed that, I have contributed
to mange the team and group members so that the further actions was being taken to complete
the activity and collect fund. In this team members also contributed by influenced by me and
cooperate with me. Resultant, activity had done effectively.
With the help of the group activity, I have also examined that, I am good at decision-
making skill (Assiter, 2017). This helped me a lot to take decision in any situation. This also
helped to make effective strategies and set the target for the fundraising group activity. For
example, we need to set that target for the fundraising activity, and as we have different kinds of
the team members having different mind set and thinking, who were giving different ideas. This
made us difficult to which idea is to be chosen and which should be followed. But I and one of
my group member analysed all the ideas and critically evaluate all which could give the best
result and which could not and as according to the suitability to all members we decide the
strategies and set that target for all. I have analysed that, this good decision-making skill of mine
will help in the future as well as in the employability level. When I go to any organization, I will
have to deal with many situations and have to take the best decision which is best for the
organization and for me too. Individually I contributed to take best and effective decision for the
team and team members contributed to accept the decision and follow it. Which gave the result
that we collected enough fund for the brain tumour charity.

While performing in the team for the fundraising, I have analyse that all the skills, like
communication skill, confidence, time management and planning skill of mine is weak and thus
resultant lack of contribution in the group activity has been noticed. But all the team members of
mine contribute a lot to manage the time for the activity when I got late and complete the activity
effectively. I also have analysed that, I have good decision-making and team working skill which
helps to manage and maintain the coordination among them. Team also has contributed by
follow the decision and maintain the balance in the team. Resultant the team finally reached at
their target to collect the fund for the Brain Tumour charity.
While working in the team with the group member I have identified my good and weak
skills that can help me in the future in my employability and give me opportunity to grow more.
One of the situation that, I reached late at the destination where group performance had to be
done this happened because of the poor punctuality, and then activity got started late.
Second situation was, I managed the conflict in the team. As in the group different kind
of the people having different attitude was available this creating the conflict situation. But I
managed the team and try to cooperate with and maintain the balance.
From the situations I felt that, I have weak time management skill and this occurred
because of the poor punctuality of mine (Furnham and Gunter, 2015). Also felt that I have good
team working skill that can help me to manage the big event and project in the organization as
well.
I have evaluated that, all this happened like I got late to reach in the destination, because
of my poor punctuality. In this I contribute extra effort of mine to give extra time to the activity
for collecting extra fund for the charity. I also evaluated that good team working skill helped me
lead the group member effectively by managing conflicts.
I have learned from the first situation, that I need to be improved my time manage skill,
and need to be punctual. That will not only help me to manage all my daily routine work but will
also help in the future in the employment level. Good team working skill will help me to do any
task in the school and also in the employability in the future to work in a team.
From the situation I have analysed that I could reach on time by managing all my work
and skip unnecessary work from my daily life, so that I could help and contribute more in the
group activity (DuBrin, 2015). This encouraged me to do make a plan that will help to improve
my weak skill so that I can perform better in future task or activity.

Al the group members set the 10 target in which I have contributed my best in 6 target
out of 10 through my group skill and many other in which am better. I also got feedback from
my 12 group members. With the help of the feedbacks of my peers I identified my weak skills
which in mentioned above and goods skills as well. All the situation weather it is conflict
situation or others gave me understanding to which skill need to be developed more and which
can give me future opportunities for my career growth.

Personnel development plan is basically a process of creating plans for actions, awareness,
planning values, reflection within the context of education, career, self-improvement. From
having good understanding of all the subject of knowledges gives a good experience for
involving and participating in the fundraising of the Brain tumour because it easily provides
support and information of all the things regarding employment skills (Dahmarde,
Khodabakhshi and Rad, 2018). There are so many things which needs for the growth and

Gallimore and Hiebert, 2017). Universities also gives an opportunity for learning and growing
their career adopting the advance technology. I learn so many things such as academic learning
that helps me in gaining knowledge. I develop my writing skills that helps me in writing with
professionalism and in systematic manners. There are several sources provided by the
universities like library, computers and lectures which helps in learning and increasing efficiency
if learning.
Development is most important part of higher education where the things which learn

helps in development for making great future. There are so many opportunities for
developmental that involving the construct which is better to understand things & properly helps
in student life. It helps in personnel development of person where it develops the collaborative
working in the student, build strong relations, develop ability of observing others (Gould, 2017).
It also increases the knowledge that helps in the career of the individual which helps in
professional development. Development helps in gaining knowledge and developing potential
capabilities of which is useful for communicating with others, managing people and
understanding others requirements.
It is necessary to develop the areas for improving the avenues because it gives direction
and a path of achieving success in life (Lejeune, Beausaert and Raemdonck, 2018). From
developing the areas of improving the avenues gives a proper model for working and also gives
access of doing research which is helpful in developing personnel skills. It provides opportunities
for greater learning which is useful in managing raising funds and influencing people.
From supporting the work it also underpins so many developments and learning skills
that helps in making future. There are so many applications that has used in making collecting
proper and relevant information which develop all the skills. It is generally related to the
personnel development where I learn and develop so many things from searching, application
using, enquiries (Maguire and Blaylock, 2017). I take so much experience at academic level
where teachers provide all the basic information, how to manage time, effective planning
process, managing teamwork without underestimate any ones emotions.

CONCLUSION
From the above reflection report, it has been concluded that, it helped me to identify the
weak and strong skill of the individual that can help for the future career growth. This also have
analysed that, individual has weak planning, time management and communication skill. But
have good team work and decision-making skill which will help to grow more in the future. With
the help of the personality development plan it also been identified that for improving the
planning, decision-making and confidence in communication need to perform activities like
more group activities and resource like technological, internet and also attend workshop for the
time management and confidence skill.
