Career goal is what an individual is seeking to pursue in his/her career. Career goal must
be clear and well defined so that while searching job it is easy to finding out the job which suits

aspects of your life (Assiter, 2017). So before choosing a career this is important for the student
to find out the perfection area of yours, in which they are good and happy to do that work. I am
identifying three career opportunities i.e. Sales Executive, Human Resource Executive,

manager is not suitable for me as they both task are related to field work. And in both the works
time management is essential. And here I lapsed as I am very bad in time management.
Human Resource Executive is the profile which I am choosing for my career goal. As
there task is too organised and managed all the work related to human resources. Main work is to
overseeing the hiring, training and monitoring the work of other employees.
Main motive for me to choosing this profession as my career is team work, and
negotiation skills. The opportunities available in human resource executive as if you started with
executive post only, you can easily get the growth in this line by Arbitrators, Office Manager,
Human Resource Manager and Training manager. The remuneration and opportunities for
personal development and benefits are like salary, commission, perks, allowances etc.

Making visible salary structure.
Planning and execution of projects,
which improve my basic strength and
opportunities.
Managing time guards.
Event planning, this is one of the
important weaknesses which are related
to applicable in management.
On the basis of above analysis I analysed that, my potential strengths are:
Communication skill: I analysed that my communication skills are better than other as I
can easily communicate with others and solve issues and problem easily.
Team Management: I am good in team management, as when I was in higher school, I
always used to become a leader and lead a team better than anyone else (Drummond,
Nixon and Wiltshire, 1998).
Negotiation skills: My negotiation skills are high, as I can convenience others, for any
topic. I can easily convenience the others who are actually not interested in that field.
My major weaknesses are on which I have to work are:
Short tempered: From my office colleagues, I got to know that I am short tempered in
nature.
Time management: I am very bad in time management. Time management is a task in
which I am very unrealistic and unmanageable.
Perfectionist: I need a perfect work, either you do in time or take more time. So it is also
my weakness that I can't see imperfection in any of my work.
These strength and weaknesses of mine are defined that I can pursue my career in HR
Executive field and work effectively there.
Part 3: Option for Progression
For reaching the desired position in HR career I need to work on my weaknesses and tap
current opportunities available in the market. I have founded an apprenticeship programme to get
trained as HR manager in the Harvard University starting from January (Fallows, Fallows and
Steven, 2000). Following are the solutions I have come across for reaching my desired position-
In a HR role one is require to have diversified skills such as
Communication and Interpersonal skills

Training and Development
Evaluation and Interpretation skills
Analytical and Reasoning skills
Planning and Strategic development skills
Decision making Negotiation skills
Leadership skills
From the above requirements for a HR manager role and skills I currently possess as
personal strengths I can fill this gap by enrolling in the Harvard course and by working on my
weaknesses. I will be more self-aware for reducing my weaknesses which are short tempered,
stress management, time management etc. It can be done by being proactive than reactive while
encountering such situations (Hernández-March, Del Peso and League, 2009). Also, by being
more educated for overcoming my weaknesses from online platforms. Thus, it helps in
progressing professionally and becoming more competent in HR sector.
In the Employment scheme for a HR position, I have completed my masters in Human
Resource from renowned Cambridge University. This will help me in getting the desired position
of HR manager. Also, it has created an opportunity to get considered for the desired role in a
company. This will help me to get selected in various desired companies and choosing the most
rewarding and growing company. All of the above mentioned skills are used and mentioned in
order to provide relevant support for the successive nature and applicability of the company.
Career Zone and Digital Library online platforms are helpful in assessing required skills
for HR as well as various opportunities available to explore and finding the best workplace to
work for. It has helped in increasing my knowledge for the specific skills set require to achieve a
HR manager position in a company. Thus, spreading desired awareness for the role and
educational resources available on digital library for developing skills and mind-sets.
In modern and dynamic organisation various opportunities and threats are available in
HR sector.

market.
Sector is facing a big threat of generating leaders for the future require to achieve overall
goals of an organisation.
It is require to find the right resources needed for developing work culture in a company.
From the above threats and opportunities available in the sector I can address them by

be done with the help of personality development courses to enhance my soft skills. Furthermore

information are related to the given time frame which are related to the growth and achievement
of my own self and development profile. All of these platform are relatable and manageable for
my own future growth and success.
Part 4: Way Forward
For growing professionally I have planned three actions which will help me in achieving
my desired position in the career (Drummond, Nixon and Wiltshire, 1998). These action plans
will help in leading my career growth within specified time duration. Also in developing require
skills and gaining experience in the field. These are as following-
