INTRODUCTION
In today's world small business enterprise are getting very much importance and
popularity. Small business enterprises are those enterprises which are set up business with a
small amount of investment. These enterprises or business institution cannot generate more
revenues due to high sales value. It is an enterprise in which there are few number of employees.
In this present report developing the business of Austin Fraser company which is engaged in the
recruitment and selection of appropriate candidates. This present report is basically conferenced
with development and expansion of the cited company. Moreover, its strengths, weakness and
comparative analysis has been discussed in the context of company. Further more, ways in which
the company can improve their operational performance are also stated. In addition to this the
company has also prepared an action plan in which the managers of the company has adopted
various steps through which they can bring efficiency in their operations. The managers of
Austin Fraser also aim to improve its services by monitoring improvements and performances of
their employees over a specified time period. In this report, various areas in which expansion can
be done by the cited company to satisfy its customers has also been mentioned.
TASK 1
1.1 Profile of a selected small business and identification of its strength and weakness.
Austin Fraser is one of the small business masters in IT, engineering and life sciences
specially the this company deals with a recruitment process . Simply, the main and foremost
work of this company is to polish the new and fresh candidates to grow according to their talent
(Charantimath, 2005). Austin Fraser believes in full cooperation and transparency between
candidates and make them feel comfortable in fact their major target is to assign a right job to a
right person according to their skills and talent. The manager of the cited company believe in a
equality among all the freshers and help them to learn new and innovative things to build self
confidence so that they are ready to face all the hectic or worst situation. This company also
contain some strength and some weakness.
Strength of the Austin Fraser are:-
The company Dedicated towards their work without wasting time on the unusual things
and matters which make this company more effective and efficient.

Provide better quality of goods services to their targeted customers at reasonable prices
which are easily affordable by people.
Provide proper working environment to their employees in which they easily perform
their task and try to attain their target as well.
Use effective methods and plans and implement them as per the requirement of the
company.
The biggest strength of this company is, it provide proper training to their new employees
in order to increase their skills and knowledge.
Managers and leaders of this company are able to form strategies in accordance with
achieving the goals and objectives.
Weakness of the Austin Fraser are:-
Absence of immediate result due to time consuming recruitment and selection
process (Dobbs and Hamilton, 2007).
Staff members not use effective methods and procedure for promoting their goods
and services in international market.
Opted traditional methods in promotions.
Not use advance technologies for the purpose of production of goods and
services.
Candidates should spend lots of hours to get a appropriate job.
Candidates has to face lots of difficulty while understanding in training period
Company is a very straight forward sometime which create misunderstanding
among candidates.
Due to high strength some employees get ignored by the authority (Walker and
Brown, 2008).
Lack of communication between employees and authority because of that
sometime environment may disturbed which influence the goodwill of the
company (Esteves, 2009).
Also, there is an absence of proper data.

1.2 Analyse the business by making use of comparative measures of performance
It is very important to analyse the business performance of the company by using
various methods to measures the performance. The management of Austin Fraser realizes their
goals and target so that they can minimize their disadvantages. Every company have to analyse
their current performance by using effective methods and procedure which are beneficial for
them to attain their target and objectives. They have to identify their strength and weaknesses.
With the help of strengths companies are able to enhance their performance and try to maintain
them in long period. With the identification of weaknesses companies are able to improve their
work quality and improve their level of earnings as well. There are number of ways to measures
the performance these are:-
Awareness about the objectives:- if there is a plan of re-establishment or
introducing of any new product then a company needs to estimate the set target or
goals.
Accurate estimation of cost:- To analyse the cost proper estimation is very
important to get aware about the maximum return on minimum investment.
SWOT analysis:- Before execution of any project or launch, a cited company
needs to know all the strength , weakness opportunities and threats of their
company (Fassin, Van Rossem and Buelens, 2011). Sometime with the help of
SWOT cited company know all the hidden problems.
Requirement of reforms:- To improve the performance of an organization
changes are sometime become very important which makes task more easier.
Changes is very indispensable for Austin to improve their working condition
Target based :- Sometime target is also mandatory for an employees so that they
can perform more and more or try to give best results in a minimum period. If the
company performs various functions according to the set targets than it will keep
on improving their business performance.
Encourage feedback:- Austin needs to encourage feedback process to get aware
about their services whether it was beneficial for a candidates or not. Feedback
shows the company actual position so that cited company get aware about their
advantages and disadvantages.

Proper management planning:- Management requires to continue a proper
planning to avoid jargon and helps in a proper future estimation which resulted in
a avoidance of mini problems (Gollin, 2008). Sometime appropriate planning is
very helpful to estimate the future.
After measuring the business performance of the cited company, an employee come to
know about the effective performance and able to learn all the indispensable things which was
required while performing period.

To overcome or get aware about the Austin Fraser weakness major steps should be taken
so that a company can easily solve all the hidden problems and weakness so that their business
can run in a effective manner. Various steps are there to overcome their weakness.
Major actions which was taken to identify the weakness:-
Awareness:- First and foremost step is to get aware about the facts and figures of
the company to collect or gather a proper data so that it can be helpful while
performing the task and activity (Reid, 2013).
Divide work- Companies have to divide in groups in order to increase level of
production and work quality as well.
Use best quality of raw material- The staff members have to use best quality of
material in order to provide better goods and services which are beneficial for
them to improve their skills and knowledge.
Location:- Location is also a major issue because consumers must consider the
location also as attractive environment creates peace over there and employees
can work easily without facing any mental pressure.
Shortage of capital:- Insufficient capital leads to wastage of resources and time
that's why before setting a business estimate the overall capital to avoid problems
related to fun because fund is the backbone of any business in fact all the work in
a business needs money (Street and Cameron, 2007).
Proper management plan:- Before setting of any business or any project in Austin
