1.1 Produce a profile of a selected small business identifying its strengths and weaknesses
Strengths- The most important strengths for Beigel Bake Restaurant are their productivities their
food and work diversity, their presence in the London magazine and their production rate.
Depending on their activities, the strengths are associated as mentioned below with the
organization: the Beigel Bake Restaurant provide service for 24hours in London. Therefore, the
customers can easily get service from the restaurant(Bridge and O'Neill, 2013). It is very
beneficial for the organization. By these process, their number of customers increases. The
restaurant mainly focused on their main product beigels which are very popular in the market.
Customers of the restaurant like this item very much. Alongwith this, they also provide other
items such as sweets like apple strudel, Danish rolls, cheesecake and Eccles cakes and pastries
also.
Weakness- Nowadays, for increasing business, an organization needs to give their updates on
websites. But the Beigel Bake Restaurant do not have any website so that the customers do not
get any information about their eatery and their product also. Therefore, it is their major
weakness. On the other side, they only have their business in the UK so that they do not have
much popularity in other countries. Along with these weaknesses, some customers are
disappointed due to their service quality. They do not have many employees and for this reason
they unable to provide good services to their customers. Besides these, they should make a
limited number of beigels and have to make new products for their customers(Latov, 2007).

The Beigel Bake is a bakery which provides food to their customers. The food restaurant is very
much anxious for their products, and they tryto maintain their quality of products in front of their
customers. An organization also have to concentrate on the demand of their customers and based
on that they have to decide the price limit. Therefore, the Beigel Bake Restaurant have to fix a
suitable price limit which can attract the consumers. It will be very beneficial for the
organization and also increase the consumer’s number. Their 24hours providing service is one of
the major things which give them benefits compare to another restaurant in the United Kingdom.
According to these, the Beigel Bake Restaurant should make new products for their consumers
along with reasonable price. The customers want new nad variety of products, and these attract
the customer most. The organization has to understand the demands of the people which help
them to makeproducts for them(Abdel-Maksoud and Abdel-Kader, 2007).

Beigel Bake is a small bakery which situated at Brick Lane in the London. In addition, one of the
significant weakness of this small business is online services. As early mentioned, Beigel Bake
does not have any website or online existence. In other words, Beigel Bake unable to provide
online customer service. Apart from that, Beigel Bake remains open for twenty-four hours but
due to lack of online promotion the business cannot be expanded properly.

anybody across the globe. Moreover, the management of Beigel Bake needs to focus on the
website development process in order increase the productivity of the organization(Lewis and
Renn, 2004).
Another identified weakness is preferred product development which is bagels. In other words,
Beigel Bake produces 7,000 bagels per day which are a significant weakness. Besides that,
bagels are the most popular item of Beigel Bake but per day near about 1000 bagels are wasted.
In addition, the wasted bagels include high production cost which needs to be saved by Beigel
Bake.
Action plan: in order to overcome this identified weakness, the management of Beigel Bake
needs to consult with software experts to develop their official website. Moreover, the cost of
domain and hosting are not expensive so; Beigel Bake can afford the price. Thus, in order to
reduce the cost crisis, Beigel Bake should not produce a lot of bagels rather they should produce
their traditional Jewish style with fillings as hot salt beef with mustard. In addition, Beigel Bake
needs to produce 6000 bagels per day to consume fewer expenses(West, Densmore and Rathbun,
2012).
Analyse ways in which existing performance could be maintained and strengthened
Beigel Bake has various types of strength which increase the performance such as twenty-four
hours service is one of the major strength of Beigel Bake which is influencing their productivity
and performance. Besides that, Beigel Bake is one of the famous bakeries of Brick Lane which

hours service, many people are spending a huge time at there. On the other hand, Beigel Bake

Employee performance is one of the significant element of Beigel Bake which also can be
assumed as an important strength. Besides that, Beigel Bake has efficient and effective staffs
who able to satisfy the customers with high-quality services. Thus, the management of Beigel
Bake needs to provide training to the staffs for more effective customer services which can
increase the performance of the organization(Baker, 2006).
Along with that, the management needs to focus on the performance of Beigel Bake in order to
increase potential business opportunities. Apart from this, in order to maintain the performance,
Beigel Bake needs to appoint well-behaved staffs who can meet customer’s expectation. Besides
that, to maintain high-quality food service, Beigel Bake needs to retain their current chef who
